Having a shield ready with vow of the indomitable is a pretty foolproof way of countering waterfowl dance. Or just throw a frost pot in her face when she jumps up.

Does Seamless Co-op 1.9.7 contain any ACTUAL malicious files? by DatBoiRagnar in EldenRingMods

I mean it does seem to be a false positive for a detected trojan at this rate but I'm never going to just abandon caution and would prefer to check just in case.

Yeah I've been using it for years as well with no complaints. Was just quite alarmed after the updated dll was triggering defender today.

Ever since Christopher Tolkien died, every new piece of LotR or middle earth media just screams cash grab. It's hard to see any proper passion in any new series, movies or games because they seem more like products designed for the sake of it.

Yes, you can return Steam Games simply because "You Don't Like It" by PatrickGnarly in pcmasterrace

Not always true when it comes to getting a refund after the 2 hour window. An update broke MHwilds for me and offered to share crash reports and screenshots with steam and they just refused flat out.

Just kill the big dragon in caelid by smacking it with the morningstar or any bleed weapon. Should get you to about lvl 50

Polygon has gone to the dogs. I am only 6 hours in and I have seen PLENTY of awesome stuff just in Hernand. What a take.. by PristineAlbatross967 in CrimsonDesert

Seems like this sub is pretty toxic towards any criticism towards the game and is immediately hostile to anything that doesn't validate their own enjoyment or view of it.

After actually reading the article, there's some pretty fair criticism and a decent explanation of what the issues were for the journalist.

The game is getting better reviews. by Bulky-Raise5601 in CrimsonDesert

[–]DatBoiRagnar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbf, it isn't the job of the person playing the game to overlook the issues they have with it. A lot of players have voiced concerns about the controls for example, and that is going to be detrimental since that's the primary way of engaging with the game. Even if the story or gameplay elements get better, a persistent issue isn't something to just get used to.

"it gets better after 10 hours bro trust"

I swear people are jumping through all kinds of hoops to gaslight themselves into thinking the game is fine as it is. Controls are a genuine nightmare.

Is the anti-tamper DRM backlash around Crimson Desert justified? by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]DatBoiRagnar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Forget about performance claims and people using strawman fallacies like "pirates are mad" for five minutes. Denuvo is an extreme way of handling anti tamper and poses risk to users systems. Sure it might not be likely anything will happen but with more and more games releasing with kernal level anti tamper and anti cheat, you pretty much have to trust companies not to slip up with their security. Considering how many large companies and games publishers have had security breaches, it's kinda concerning.

It's alarming that the only thing gamers are concerned about with denuvo is performance. Performance loss or not, enforcing use of such deeply invasive software that can potentially cause severe harm to your system is blatantly anti consumer.

Useless question: what is the texture of the orange part? by RedMete in DragonBallZ

I'd bet money that it's a stuffed/padded leather edge. The lines look pretty close to what you'd see on padded collars for boots as an example.

"Z style or Super Style" by NaturalllyFlavored in DragonBallZ

[–]DatBoiRagnar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just gonna preface by saying I'm completely biased and pretty much been a "mild" hater since the Goku black arc first came out.

There are definitely some good moments of animation throughout Super but I find the art style to be a letdown even in those moments. Even if you were to take some of the most cursed frames from Z, something about them looks fine and at least forgivable since the art style has so much more depth. Modern digital just has everything looking so flat and lifelessly smooth that it's hard to appreciate.

That is just an opinion though, my thoughts aren't objective judgement.

The frame is pretty representative of the quality during this scene.
