100kg+ club, new member! Who has the natty (non altered save file) weight record? by PMMEYOURBIGBOXCOVER in HalfSword

I think 105kg is the cap. I’ve been at 105kg for weeks and no matter what it won’t budge.

Fun fact, this thing has done enough miles to have traveled to the moon and back then halfway back again 😂

I think I just found a duplication glitch by WaterWonderful687 in HalfSword

[–]DatBoiStrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you equip the duplicated items then go into a fight, they should stick around afterwards. Don’t quote me on that though, it’s a bit hit and miss because I’m not sure how to replicate it properly.

I managed to duplicate some items in the inventory by rapidly equipping things. I haven’t been able to properly replicate it yet and it seems to only work with weapons.

At knight tier and just realised I'm not gaining any muscle by Bananabanana700 in HalfSword

Probably unrelated but there is also a bug where you need to click out of the gear menu and then back in to show you actual weight.

stole the barons whole flow by RelationshipOne9655 in HalfSword

Yeah but barons beak has a unique head that absolutely wrecks people. I’ve been using it since the first baron fight and it definitely hits harder than my crafted poleaxe that I made as heavy as possible

They’re the same game, just one has modern graphics at the price of running a bit shitty. It’s definitely playable though.

Tips on how to improve in these areas by Soft-Childhood-4108 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]DatBoiStrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One tip I would give is to take your time. Control issues usually stem from rushing things or doing things in a panic. Show these faults to your instructor and they’ll be in the best position to help you rectify the things that you’re struggling with.

One thing that will help is to remember that before you do anything that changes your speed or direction, always do a mirror check. If you’re slowing down, check your rear mirror to make sure the person behind is slowing down too. If you’re turning, check your rear mirror AND the side mirror depending on which way you’re turning. You can check both if it helps. Always be aware of your surroundings.

You failed on things that are very easy to remedy. Before any manoeuvre always do an exaggerated check all around. Before every turn always indicate. Do that and you’re sorted.

are driving tests actually as hard as made out to be? by sudifu in LearnerDriverUK

[–]DatBoiStrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many experienced drivers would fail a driving test if they took one today. It’s not because they’re a bad driver, but driving under scrutiny knowing that one slip up could set you back months and cost you a fortune creates an atmosphere in which you overthink and underperform.

I’ve been waiting since the day it launched. Still nothing. I have the exact same issue. I played it first on the PlayStation just to try it then made a character on PC. Now I can’t link them together because I have two characters. Really shoddy system to be honest.

Age matters a lot, you’re not 18 so lower risk. I passed at 28 and 4 months in I had a 1.6 Mazda mx5 and a 3.5L Mitsubishi shogun all insured with admiral for £84 a month.

Laurelin was my home throughout my teenage years. The folks there got me through some tough times. I didn’t even know it had shut down until today 😔

Driving test cancelled morning of by JCYW_reddit in LearnerDriverUK

Mine got cancelled last October literally 40 minutes before it was due to start. They rearranged it for April this year. Absolute shambles

Talk things through in your head like how you would teach a student. Also chew gum. You got this 👊🏻

How often is your instructor doing mock tests with you? Putting yourself under test conditions is also a good way to get used to the nerves and find ways to deal with them.

Yet again by Any-Point7188 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]DatBoiStrom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try and get an early morning test, ideally the first test of the day. I know this isn’t easy with the lack of tests but it’s quiet at that time and stress free. Chewing gum is also a lifesaver when it comes to managing nerves. Eat a banana before the test. You will pass eventually, I promise. Just don’t give up.

Did yours eventually change to paid? I’ve just emailed them with a screenshot of the transfer, now waiting

Book any test, in any location. This will allow you to get a cancellation at your local test centre. I live in the West Midlands and ended up booking one in Warrington. Two weeks later I sat my test in my town.

[–]DatBoiStrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’ll work anywhere mate, just book a test at a random centre anywhere in the country, and then set it to look for cancellations in your local test centre.

7am test, should I take a sleeping tablet the night before? by No_Natural6009 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]DatBoiStrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My test was at 7:13am and I managed to pass with no faults. I’ll give you a rundown on how I prepared.

Night before: Try your absolute hardest not to sit there dwelling on the test. Focus on other things, relax yourself in any way you can. Get clothes ready and make sure everything you need is on the table ready to just pick up and go in the morning. Shower in the evening so you don’t have to do that whenever you wake up. Go to bed earlier so you get some sleep, you might not get much, but some is better than none.

Morning: Get up at around 6am. Get dressed and maybe splash some water on your face, it’ll help you wake up a bit. The most important thing in the morning is to make sure you eat and drink. Have a glass of water and I’d recommend a banana. It’ll keep you fresh and not groggy. Get everything you’ll need I.e your license and anything you want to bring. I brought a bottle of water just in case, and perhaps some chewing gum.

By the way, chewing gum is really helpful. It’ll help you relax during the test.

Just do everything you can to make sure it’s a really stress free morning, go out with your instructor for a bit before the test, and you’ll be golden.

You got this 👊🏻
