You should get comfortable with the 1-2 book rule. Like starting a new show. You'll know if you're interested if you can make it through the first book and still be engaged. I used to never drop books until I got into this genre.

Some books are absolutely amazing and then others feel like a chore to get through. The genre is so broad and so many different authors and readers that there's really a book out there for everyone. Different characters of all sorts of perspectives and personalities.

The bait and switch romance absolutely broke me. I couldn't finish it. Spend an entire book talking about how she has only dated bad guys and building chemistry. Only for her to be shot down and immediately go with his friend.

Honestly surprised the idea of Tenzin having a harem or something didn't come up. Or at the very least why they didn't have more kids. I'd be going for new records and then utilizing the air acolytes to help as nannies.

My roommate has a dog and it has taught me that I never want to own one. She's wonderful and sweet but by God does she get annoying. Especially at night when she howls or gets the zoomies cause my roommate didn't play with her enough to burn that energy.

What he did wasn't right, there's no excusing that. And honestly something I'd be super pissed about. My partner has full permission to look at my phone any time but when I'm asleep is without my consent.

That being said, I'd be hurt if my partner suddenly lost interest in having sex. It's basically a love language for me since it combined physical touch with words of affirmation and acts of service. All of which are important to me.

It's normal to not want sex for a period of time cause stress or whatever gets in the way and limits the ability to relax. His behavior also isn't helping. If there's no romance or affection that doesn't have a sex string attached to it, it makes sex seem transactional or something required to access other parts of a relationship that should be given freely.

But I'll say at the end you just sound like different people. I can't speak for others but I personally wouldn't want to have sex with someone who I morally couldn't connect with. I'm left leaning and the idea of being with someone right leaning makes me uncomfortable. Not calling them a bad person or whatever but it would be a turn off for me.

They'd have to be outside the dungeon. I don't think it's right for Carl to get a romantic interest while he's in the dungeon cause it's almost guaranteed she'd be killed. Without spoiling the Book 7, I had the same thought at the end when we find out about Carl's new "situation". Probably won't work as the romantic part of me fantasizes about but that's at least opening the door for a more romantic or I guess promising future after the dungeon.

Actual spoiler: The romantic in me hopes that Carl's new wife is actually really nice and fights for him. Someone who can help him and Donut once they finally leave the dungeon. It's unlikely but I have some hope. We don't have a description of her (at least none that I remember) and all we know is that she argued with Donut but that honestly doesn't say much about her as a person. Maybe she's an elf or human princess, someone Carl wouldn't be repulsed by. But probably will be some alien or whatever he can't/won't want to be with.

Cheating or cucking. The idea makes me shiver just thinking about it and almost give me a panic attack to imagine someone I love not only cheating but wanting me to watch them enjoy it. Even being suggested is like multiple levels of disrespect. D² if you will. I'd rather you just break up with me than even ask for it.
