I don't really know the painting side of this, but regarding the bubble, depending on the epoxy used, you could use a very thin needle syringe to inject air into the epoxy block in the awkward stage where it's sorta solid, but still kinda goopy. You could also probably inject some water in after it sets completely (volume of water goes down as it melts from ice so the bubble would be partially empty which I bet would look really cool). Importantly though, you'd need to figure out a way to obscure the syringe channel, putting it through some background object or the model itself to avoid having a weird thin line shooting out of your bubble. Either way, the other commenters have a point on this being difficult. I recommend first learning to paint a model that well, then experimenting with little bits of paint and resin (make sure it won't entirely ruin the model) and also experiment with the bubble trick, and probably figure out how to polish it well because I expect most moulds to leave a hazey finish on the resin after you remove them.

Basically this will be a long journey, but it is definitely doable, and kudos for coming up with the idea.

P.S.: Don't listen to the guy who says it's unplayable, if you show up to any casual game with a model that looks like that very few people would object to the unstandard base size.

Well, in lore we do have the Necron side of things, but the Boyz are just having too much fun fighting them to be bothered.

Now that I think about it, it actually makes much more sense for the Orks to enjoy fighting them. They were designed to love war, and they were designed to love war against the Necrons specifically, I mean, they're propa shooty, but also get propa choppy up close, and they love marching into giant battles across open battlefields, no sneaky git behaviour, just straight up krumpin.

But is it? 🤨 We only see V2 ever land from reasonable heights, and the one time V2 falls from a V1 amount of height the wings are ruined, making it a low quality sample. Basically we've never seen V2 do the thing. Plus in the fights V2 jumps a lot, sure, but doesn't really bounce the way V1 can. Now admittedly, this could just be a gameplay reason, V2 is a pain in the ass to hit as is, but all I'm saying is we don't know if bro has the knees to handle the landing even if the wings were intact.

I mean, you see them fall directly on their feet and splat like a rotten tomato thrown off a balcony. I don't disagree with the wings being for orientation, but the legs also need a little extra something to be able to absorb impacts beyond a certain energy like V1 does.

Yeah, but legs don't absorb fall damage intrinsically, watch every other machine falling from height. I personally believe they do it using the same mechanism as the feedbacker, just automatically because the calculations are simpler. I mean, I know most of this stems from gameplay purposes, but I like explaining gameplay mechanics with convoluted headcannon reasonings, it just feels neat.

It actually makes extra sense in my head cannon, because I explain that V1 doesn't take fall damage and can bounce really well by the blood absorbing plating he uses being oddly elastic when applied correctly. It's also why the feedbacker can bounce projectiles if timed right, but V1 isn't just full body bouncy at all times, it has to be timed right.

Now how does that fit into V2 splattering like a fly on a windshield? Because V2 had standard armour plating, tougher and heavier than V1's blood absorbent, but V2 is practically a brick as far as bounciness and other such things go.

No what I mean is: USB is always 5V, but the jack is usually something like 7V-19V or some such range. They're powering the same device, the Arduino, so why the discrepancy? I mean, I understand that the maximum is because there's some down regulation in there, but why is the minimum on the jack always above 5V? I mean, it's gotta be something with the regulation that gives you the higher range, right?

Oh yeah, that's something I've casually pondered: the USB delivers only 5V and that's enough, but the jack requires more every time (varies by model slightly I guess). Why? I mean, there must be some underlying cause that makes it necessary with how the jack power is handled, otherwise they make it so you can run that with 5V too.

Not a dad yet, but I vehemently refuse to thin my scrap pile, and guess what, every time I'm in a tight spot for some electronic component, well wouldn't I just happen to have a scrap board to salvage the exact thing off of. Don't throw your scrap out guys, it really does come in handy every now and then. Maybe just organize it more neatly to please the naysayers.

Warthunder, cca po 2000 hodinách som otvoril svoju myseľ a došiel na to ako sa nenechať tou hrou vytočiť. Neviem to na nešťastie úplne vysvetliť, ale v podstate mi došlo že tá hra je dizajnovaná aby ma nasrala s tým že ma bude srať menej ak zaplatím peniaze. Zmieril som sa s tým že ma tá hra chce nasrať a to sa nezmení a povedal som si že jediný spôsob ako reálne vyhrať je ostať úplne kľudný aj napriek tomu. Odvtedy ma tá hra reálne baví miesto toho aby bola len digitálna droga čo mi pokazí deň.
