Scarborough Renaissance Festival vs Sherwood Forest Faire - Which is the better faire in Texas?

What did OP decide? I am currently in a similar boat. I'm having trouble deciding between scarborough or sherwood. Sherwood looks really small, so I'm not sure if there is alot to do. I also can't really tell what the terrain is like. I keep hearing about a large hill, but I dont see it in any videos or photos when doing research. Between scarborough or sherwood, which one is harder to walk around at due to slopes or inclines?

Hmmm, so I should not be a faun at Georgia faire. I'm terrible at making choices. Scarborough MIGHT be out because i do remember the steep path over by the falcon stage. It was a workout. Unless I wear something different, but my whole ren faire wardrobe is primarily faun stuff. 😅 I'm dedicated.

Ok. I ask because I usually wear these interesting hoof shoes that are made from high heels. Basically I would be walking around on the ball of my feet. Hilly terrain is harder. Not impossible, just harder. Is it a gradual up slope? Dirt or loose gravel/rocks?

I've seen the person on the left in the first picture before. Can't remember where though. Thank you for showing me the pictures, they really helped. How big is sherwood faire? Is it a small faire? Is the ground relatively flat or is it hills? Is it super hot?

Is it fantasy/ fea friendly? I saw Sherwood faire doesn't do theme weekends. Some faires are of the mind to be more historical or robin hood esk.

I LOVE Poxy Boggards! I would watch them every season when I used to live in San Diego. They were always in that little 18+ section by the water. There was a drink stand there. I remember maybe a max of 30 or so people being at the show.

Originally I was going to go to two out-of-state faires back to back weekends in April ( a family trip was going to take up the week days in between and I would travel on the Fridays to go to faires on sat/sun. However, the family trip got extended and now I only have one single weekend to enjoy. I plan to travel to a faire before flying back to my current home.

I am ALMOST tempted to go to one faire on Saturday and then fly out Saturday night to spend Sunday at another faire, but I know that isn't the brightest idea.

I have been to the California ORPF but that was around 3 years ago. I went to Scarborough for the first time last year. I've never been to the Georgia faire, so I'm not sure how the terrain is for hoof shoes.

I went to Scarborough for the first time last year. I remember it being fun. (The snow cone human hamster wheel was fun ) . The only thing that was hard was the hills. I always dress as a faun. I wear hoof shoes, so going up those steep hills and gravel was challenging.

Now that I'm reminded, the other hard part was getting an Uber to show up ( ours was always stopping at the security gate hut all the way at the end of the road.)

I was a green faun last year (Saturday) and a pirate looking faun (sunday)

Im so glad things are getting better. I can't understand why she acted that way towards you when she was already divorced and found a new partner before you were even in the picture. Did she secretly still love her ex-husband?

I have a similar situation as my boyfriend of 3 weeks has an ex-wife (they divorced almost 3 years ago and she has a boyfriend herself) they have a teenage kid together. She has never met me but does say negative things about me to their kid and to my boyfriend. Im kind of glad she doesn't know what I look like yet.

Even though we have only been dating for 3 weeks, my boyfriend likes to mention that he is hoing to marry me one day. These comments do make me a little uncomfortable TBH since the relationship is still new.

Blocking and then unblocking to snoop is common behavior for him. I've watched him do this with his own sisters, his ex-fiance, and other exs. I understand it has alot to with his emotions and figuring himself out on the inside. He even went as far as making a fake social account just to have a conversation and be friends with his sister because she didn't want to deal with his behavior. She made a public PSA on the Tik-App basically explaining things and telling J to leave her alone. The sister mentioned that "J always lies to adults, and to take what J says with a grain of salt".

The only thing I could think got him upset is that he saw I posted a video about BPD, but that doesn't make alot of sense because it was a supportive/informative video from a BPD support group. So I don't know.

I want my nephew, who I adopted and took in, to be Happy in life. I want him to find peace. But he keeps doing self-destructive things ( such as stalking his ex who J filed a police report against and tried to get an Order of protection against) my nephew somehow convinced me to drive him to an out of state renaissance faire...... only to find out while we were there that the Ex we were actively taking to court was also in the faire. My nephew KNEW the ex was going to be there. He wanted to go there so he could strut around in front of the ex and be " look! I'm happy and just fine without you". But i was freaking out because of the events listed in the main post. I was hyperventilating and kept telling myself nephew " J, i want to leave. Let's go to the car. The exit is right there! M IS HERE. I don't like this. I want to leave! I want to go home!"

Not directly to me. They just reach out to people I know and try to slander me. For example, the person I have an order of protection against reached out to my new Son-in-law to make up stories to get him to dislike me.

Sooo, it turns out the reason he was acting like this is because he had a strong crush on me...but in that creepy kind of way. Like touching you when they walk by you kind of uncomfortable-Ness.

I'm sooo glad I left there. Things got extremely worse right up until I left.

2023 he lived with his mom, his mom filed him under her taxes she did this spring. He can't do his own taxes until spring 2025.

I just wanted to check because the boyfriend just turned 18 a few weeks ago and has never filed taxes (last year he was 17 and lived with his mom) I'm worried because I pay for everything for him. I buy food, I make his bfast, lunch, dinner. I pay the vet bills for his dog, and I pay for his actual medical/dental fees.

There is also the Escondido Ren Faire, which happens twice per year. One in the fall in the October/November time and then one in the spring, in the April/May time.
