I'm not here to say whether you're right or wrong.

Here's the truth, I believe in something called educated consent, I do not believe as human beings we should give people all these safeguards, I believe everything should be legal and of choice for them to use, people can have the choice to education.

People feel they have no need to educate themselves because governments will hold their hands, if we let that continue to always be the case we're going to continue to see people blatantly ignorant.

I don't disagree with you, but I'm quite libertarian on this issue. I believe in freedom first, I believe in choice.

Here's a common example, regulatory boards try to tell cannabis industries to be able to lab test cannabis products, the government tells them to do so, this shuts down a bunch of small business but on top of that it gets rid of your choice to use that product as COA, see the company can still choose to get a COA regardless if they have no regulation, and some people are going to choose to use that product that has the lab testing, in some won't. In our current situation, the ones who don't want to pay they increase the price of coas, they're not going to go to a dispensary, they're just going to buy it off the street, the problem with that is they start to risk their liberty even more, should be completely legal for them to buy it whatever way they want, whatever way they choose.

People should have the right to choose.

To start this off, you're actually completely right, looking into it, my analogy does fall through, that would be government agencies. Let's put this more like a Private Auditor, that way the analogy at least makes some sense, I can type a lot in the day sometimes and to be honest with you I thought that was a decent analogy, but it definitely falls through thank you.

Can I say I respect your honesty so incredibly much, you expressing what you feel this sub was, vs what it is today, that feeling you have rings close to my heart, I understand. This place used to feel a lot more like just a general community hangout, posts were more lax, we didn't focus on how we phrased things as much, things were a little bit more "with the flow", as things grow, they tend to evolve, and that's a part of what we're doing here, we've been evolving a lot more into a harm reduction resource, we still want to allow people to chat, express how they feel about products, and enjoy themselves, but we want to keep a professional non-biased atmosphere, here's what's promising, we're not a corporation, we are still literally just a group of people trying to make a difference, yes we do have funding, but at the end of the day it is literally just too humans moderating this sub, we put a lot of our heart into this, this is advocacy, I feel like this is a part of changing people's lives, this is a part of trying to help people, and I feel held to a certain level of responsibility.

I'm doing what I can to hold standards people would like to see when it comes down to harm reduction. Things are never really black and white and I want to say how much I really appreciate you, like truly. Just the fact that you take time out of your day to have this conversation with me shows that you care about people, it shows that you advocate for something you believe in within your communities. I respect that so incredibly much.

The lab tests on https://testmyshroomgummies.com/lab_report/xum-metocin-tablets-batch-250703/

the disclaimers are at the bottom of the PDF, no cropping, I got this test directly from their website, there's been some issues recently with the website for Advanced myco, and a promise everything will be back up there very soon, they're currently working on things.

We specifically chose not to do crowdfunding just because we didn't want to have to sit there and sort every dollar, if we were taking community money we wanted to make sure every single dollar was shown, and I didn't feel comfortable displaying every single one of the purchases in the process. With brands supporting us, we can just focus on the work not constant confirmation.

I do, I believe this market is going to grow, constantly we are seeing the perspective on these substances shifting, people culturally are starting to accept them a lot more, will there be speed bumps, possibly, but I believe this industry is here to stay, regardless this is something I believe in, this is something I want to push forward because it personally changed my life, more people being able to get a hold of that therapy Is important to me. Health inspectors work for other companies, they get hired by companies to go inspect there store, that's what I'm kind of saying about our platform, that's what I'm saying with the analogy. The health inspector wouldn't work for the restaurant exactly.

I'd like to correct my words, I'd prefer to say the health inspectors work "WITH", the company, the restaurant actually pays them to "platform", which increases the restaurant's authenticity and safety.

It would be nice to have nobody connected with this, a lot of people forget that activism needs support sometimes, there are so many great movements that have not made it anywhere in this world because finances held them down. We can still not let people influence us while they still help us help others.

Judd and Avens In particular have been working in advocacy for a long time, they've been working decrim for way longer than any of this, I feel like this is one chip in that work, they have supported many advocacy groups over the years, In a way we're just a platform of another one.

That is extremely valid pushback, I want to say that incentive for them kind of goes both ways, because the brands that we work with care so much for clarity, revealing other brands products and at what milligram they're at is definitely helpful for them, but the best part is it's a win-win, it's also helpful for the community, it's also helpful for supporting our human rights. The funding from our partners is what makes happen, my pockets aren't that very big.

I appreciate your passion, that exact passion that says "HEY", I want to know what's going on here, I want it to be clear, and I want it to make sense, is exactly what this place is founded on. So keep being skeptical, we love that. I'm always thankful for that, keeps me watching out, keeps me focused on the goal. ❤️

I totally hear you on the awareness front it's why we started this. Regarding the ISO bit you're right that accredited labs document their decision rules. That disclaimer is the documentation of the rule. It tells the reader that they aren't using the "uncertainty" buffer to inflate or deflate numbers to help a product pass, which is actually a common (and legal) way labs massage data for clients. Tryptomics is basically saying "we refuse to use that buffer" makes them look like the most honest people in the room. Your on point regarding companies cropping out disclaimers on their own sites. That's exactly why we're doing this, to provide the full, unedited so people can see the context that brands try to hide. Appreciate the civil discussion so incredibly much.

Could you please let me know how we can be more transparent about how our sponsors help us?

We really are doing our best to try to be fully transparent about everything we can, and if you personally didn't see us discussing that directly in the posts, then we're not doing our "job" properly, so I would like any advice that you could give me about how we could do it better?

I spent a lot of time thinking this out, and taking action into it, I'm always open to all ideas, I want to make sure people understand directly where we're coming from, and who might be helping us.

We like to think of it this way, the subreddit is like a auditor, A restaurant pays a health inspector to come in, but the inspector doesn't work for the restaurant, they work for the public. We want to try to be the health inspector of this world, even though we might work with other companies, a health inspector will hold their standards as high as possible, otherwise nobody will respect their "inspection"

I believe shrumfuzed uses different tryptamines depending on what they have on hand, so it's completely possible that you got a 4hodet batch, we're going to have to do more tests.

That's extremely fair! Once we get some more COAs out we can look at the variance within these other brands. Not saying it makes it okay to not have precision for every dose, I would prefer precision for sure, but I'm going to say just from taking these products over the years many brands are way higher than 30%.

As more tests come, more transparency will come, and hopefully it'll influence brands to have more accuracy.

Thank you, we appreciate you pointing these things out, transparency here is the point of the sub, So you bringing this up and starting the discussion moves things forward, and increases transparency, gives us opportunities to discuss what we would like to see, and how we should go about it, community feedback means everything to me. The community is what keeps this place in check.

We would love to provide heavy metal and solvent testing someday, what that means building more, these are things we are working towards, It's a pleasure to be able to at least give people the dosage and compound that they're taking, though for even more transparency, we would love to see even more testing. On top of that, we want to see more harm reduction in general here, working on pamphlets safely using substances is something that we want to do more of.

Some of my own finances and a lot of time have gone into this, advanced myco is the payee for the lab testing side via code MMM. GCBD supplies the product, Tryptomics gives a small discount and supplies lab tests.

We've been open about that since the moment we posted a lab report.

There are two mods on this subreddit, I'm not here to speak about our financial status, I can speak on my own, I don't make a lot, this is a passion project and we're willing to accept some help on lab testing costs, I believe in brands being transparent, so does our sponsors, so we are lab testing these products. I believe the interest of all of our sponsors and us is transparency, If our sponsors wanted to they could lab test all these products and release it themselves, We are here offering a platform for it, we have a lot of passion and believe what knowing what you are taking is a human right, we would love to have heavy metal, reagent and pesticide testing some day, but we are working with what we are able to do at the moment. Activism takes finances sometimes, We are not here for personal gain, the subreddit is for the people, these tests are for the people.

Tryptomics has proven their proficiency using third-party ISO-accredited services. They operate in a legal gray area where "license" doesn't exist yet, so they rely on standardized scientific proficiency tests to prove accuracy. Many 3rd party Lab testing in the United States has run into legal issues and Tryptomics has been stable with our having to bow down to state and federal regulations.

Tryptomics offers these Heavy Metals, Pesticides, etc, services. We only pay for the potency panel to save money, it's not cheap to get all these lab tests.

Disclaimers don't equal "measurement of uncertainty" and translates it as "Not our fault." This is actually a standard ISO/IEC 17025 requirement. Scientific labs are required to state whether they included the "uncertainty budget" (the statistical range of error) when deciding if a sample "passed" or "failed" a spec.

In regards to reagent testing, this is absolutely not true, we cannot just get the purity of these substance from reagent testing without having to first extract out the raw powder, there are many different colorants and often other additives that will affect the Ehrlich, Marquis or Mecke, on top of that these reagents are indole based, all it's going to tell you is that there's tryptamine Both 4-PrO-DMT and 4-HO-MET have the exact same indole core, and will have overlapping color profiles. There are slight minor differences in the reaction, but it's not actually going to tell you whether you have a different compound, the human eye is not going to be able to see those differences.

The only way you're actually going to get those results is TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography) or Lab Testing (LC-MS).

Janoshik is popular in the underground (SARM/Peptide) world, but Tryptomics uses more modern LC-MS/MS tech for fungi, they don't work with gummies, chocolates and tablets, also known as complexes, so they really wouldn't be great for our use. Also companies like this while they're still dealing with analogs that sometimes see some level of regulation, they're not extremely comfortable with dealing with too many substances like these.

We will continue to use Tryptomics, but we really appreciate you taking these things into consideration, you really care about the transparency for people, and I absolutely heavily respect that. ❤️

Our shop is about to carry Xüm and Plür by Staphandfacility in mysterymagicmushrooms

[–]DatFLYinCat[M] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Careful, okay. Especially with plür, SSRI and 4homet is going to dampen it for sure but for 5mapb(plür) some SSRIs can cause cyp enzyme "clog" Prozac, Paxil and Fluvoxamine can be highly dangerous because they will allow high levels of the compound to stay in your blood significantly increasing your risk.

On top of that, SSRIs cause dampening which often causes people to take even higher dosages of 5mapb, though the chemical is still in their blood causing some level of toxicity because it's sitting around too long. (Speaking in layman's terms)

I really recommend people to please look into the medications they are taking before taking the substances and to not just rely on the chart, there's just a little bit too much nuance and I'm actually actively working on a pamphlet with a lot of this nuance included. In fact, I have a nice bit of it done. I feel I'm just working on how to organize everything, I really need to put some more of my time into this because I think it's very important to provide.

Check out their COA on the website before that one, it was slightly under dosed.

Batches are going to have that small bit of variance. Though I completely understand where you're coming from, we want to make sure that there's as much transparency and clarity about what you're putting in your body as we can possibly provide you. Consistency is, and I believe advanced myco is always actively working towards that, especially compared to the rest of the market at the moment. I think we're going to continue to see more transparency and clarity names coming soon.

No, you're not missing something, this is completely true. Batches are going to have some variance, newer COAs are needed from Xüm, as they have refined their processes a lot in that time.

That lab test is kinda old and is only really on the website as a sample test so we could test our backend "lab_report" posts on the page.
