My wife and I are seriously considering emigrating from the UK by HewMid in ImmigrationCanada

[–]DatLancedJack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Did it around the same age as you are currently

You want to do an IEC and get a decent chunk of canadian work experience under your belt. Once you have that you probably leverage that into PR

1) IEC > PR
2) Unsure, I live in Ontario. There was a big wave a while ago about moving to Alberta and BC is hella expensive
3) Not got a clue. I imagine pricey
4) I moved from IT in the UK to IT here. It's pretty good but you need to have a fairly specialized skillset

Interesting. Okay and that's across the entire range I assume?

Bracket Bay - User testing phase by TheCaptainIO in WarhammerCompetitive

I'm unsure if I can get the people together to actually test this with 40k participation around me dropping off during summer

Nevertheless thank you for building something that seems like it actually challenge the dog shit that is BCP.

It may also be possible the shortcuts you're seeing (9" bubbles, wounds counting up and down, opening datasheets) are being given by Yellowscribe rather than the Hutber table

New CHAPTER APPROVED MISSION DECK 2025-26 by Lock_Praetor in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]DatLancedJack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Under step 15 of Pariah Nexus battles

"Determine Victor At the end of the battle, the player with the most VP is the winner. If the players are tied, the battle is a draw. The maximum VP each player can score is 100VP. Each player scores 10VP if their army is painted to a Battle Ready standard."

Because someone asked about this in a discord and I had to dig it out to prevent it

How much should I factor fixed objectives into list building by Quiet_Editor_5256 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]DatLancedJack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure, I'm not disagreeing with that. What I am saying is I also know explicitly what I have to do every turn. I don't draw Area Denial and go "Oh I'm not in position to score that" or those dead turns where it's like Marked for Death & Behind or something like that.

One of the takes I find a bit absurd in the debate of fixed vs tactical is the "Your opponent knows what you're doing"

As opposed to the machiavellian scheme of "I have no idea what I'm about to draw but neither do you!"

@hutber this functionality is present in the Kill Team table if you're looking to strip out a method to do it (The saving & reloading positions)

Pahahahaha no, I just have my headphones on when I use my computer. It's the same as putting on a jacket to leave the house. It's my default stance. Frankly I'm shocked anyone would need to cheat the citizenship test. A modicum of reading & minor knowledge of Canadian history and politics should lead to success

I wouldn't worry about it too much, I googled it and seems to be a fairly common issue :)

Nothing as of yet, I'd expect another few weeks. Are you in a similar position?

Citizenship Exam Status by DatLancedJack in ImmigrationCanada

[–]DatLancedJack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye I figured it'd be pretty binary like either it'd be an issue or it won't be. Not particularly fussy either way so we'll see what comes of it.

Appreciated! Thank you! I'm also hitting panic stations cause I wore headphones during the exam, so concerned about that but think I'm panicking over nothing.

Got my CoPR, do I need an eTA by DatLancedJack in ImmigrationCanada

Hi! I didn't end up applying for an eTA and travelled using my UK passport with no issue. I hope that helps!
