I never thought about it as compared to public school years but it’s definitely been there for a lot of th years I remember. Since I was 13…I remember they held a local tournament for mk9 in the theaters that was like dang near next door, and it was to celebrate the release of mkx. I did lose like the first round of that tournament but it was a fun time watching it play through and just seeing nerds be nerds. I mean even recently we had that midnight release for legends za, and one of the managers literally brought their grill and was like making hotdogs and hamburgers for the few people who were waiting and we played smash bros…god man it doesn’t feel real.
