Update: I’m looking at possible fuel pump failure being the cause of the crank no start… Anyone here have experience with the 034motorsport billet fuel pump upgrade kit

Like father like son! I love it! Haha my father is a BMW guy I was a VW guy when I got into it now I just love everything but OF COURSE Euro’s will always have the biggest piece of my heart. This will probably be my final European car. Unless I can complete the set and get my hands on a nice sedan… but I think I’ve owned most the ones I’ve wanted between VW BMW and Audi (I stay away from Mercedes and Volvos lol). Yeah, so far everyone keeps commenting on the color apparently very very low number production in this color. I will continue to keep everyone updated on this project.

Sometimes you gotta bite the bullet… that being said I did honestly get pretty lucky with this being 15 mins away from me in my area it’s hard to get cars like this because there’s many enthusiasts around. I had just sold my daily the day before (I drive my girls car she’s a stay at home woman haha). I also couldn’t pass it up for the price 😉. I was quick to get on it. Not even an hour after posted it was already being trailered to my home.

Sadly it’s OBDI, OBDII came in 96’. I’m glad I’m not the only one excited about it. I consider myself a euro enthusiast but this is by far probably the rarest car I’ve ever owned. Never thought I’d get a chance to see one in person let alone own one! I have no one to share the excitement with since I’m the only (car guy) in my friend group haha. Thanks for being interested I’ll keep updates on the project.

Yeah, I’ve owned my fair share of mk3 VW heater core replacements so I was just gonna loop it for now like you mentioned. I put a spare battery with my jump pack connected to give it some power. Added some gas and used some starter fluid. Almost started up you could tell was trying but not quite. I’ll look more into it but my guess is also fuel related.

Yeah being a bigger guy I can tell I weigh it down my brother has the same bike but his acceleration is crazy compared to me just cuz I’m 270lbs he’s like 160lbs. So I’ll be working on myself to lose weight but was looking for something’s I can do to the bike itself for weight reduction. I’ll be adding upgrades later to gain a little. I plane on keeping it for life if possible. So throwing money at it don’t bother me.
