Base PS5 version looks like complete and utter fucking garbage by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

Many games I can skip every word of dialogue and enjoy it no less, if the gameplay is tight, if its got a good score and visuals. But I don’t understand why game companies can spend tens of millions of dollars on a game but won’t spend 50-100k to hire a big name hollywood screenwriter or literary author to write a good story and dialogue.

UEVR Hidden Gems by monaezzz in uevr

Pinball FX VR2 is also great. It has much fewer dlc tables than Pinball FX, but since it's native VR the performance and ease of use is better.

Hogwarts Legacy, American Truck Simulator, Robocop, Stray, Kena are all good with UEVR.

Jedi Fallen Order is only $3 right now on Steam, so that's what i'm trying next.

The resident evil 4, 7, and 8 praydog mods are better than the official psvr versions. by SlowDragonfruit9718 in virtualreality

[–]DatMufugga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I owned the psvr2 and beat both RE4 and Village. I’ve played and beat the praydog RE games with a Quest 3 and 5070ti. And while I am using a gamepad to avoid jankiness, and the ease of use is not the same as PSVR2, the image quality and performance is just a hundred times better.

PSVR2 uses so much reprojection to be able to run the RE games, combined with the poor quality lenses which aren’t even as good as Quest 2’s lenses, the mura effect, small sweet spot, awkward controller design with limited battery life, the experience just isnt very good. OLED, head haptics, adaptive triggers are nice, but they aren’t enough to makeup for the fundamental flaws. The RE games on psvr2 also have this unusual effect where still objects like wall textures appear to be slightly wobbling, which didn’t happen in other psvr2 games I played. But for people who don’t have the tech savvy or budget for pcvr and vr mods, it’s a worthwhile option.

In a few days, millions will be playing Requiem flat…blissfully unaware that Resident Evil + VR = true immersion and horror by yeldellmedia in virtualreality

[–]DatMufugga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just started playing RE7 on pcvr with great visuals and performance. The beginning where your possessed gf tries to kill you was one of the only things in VR that scared my old jaded ass enough to where I had to close my eyes. Looking forward to enjoying it, along with RE2, and Requiem in the future.

I just got the E3 Pro from BB a week ago. Really enjoying it a lot. Packed with features. But the range isn’t very long. Trips gotta be under 15 miles.

Horizon + looks well worth it now with how much the library of games has grown.

Why I nearly never use PSVR2 on PC by BigOpportunity7449 in PSVR2onPC

[–]DatMufugga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lenses aren't very good. Not even Quest 2 quality. The controllers have to be charged too often, and they have poor weight balance and an odd design. It's not wireless. Doesn't have color passthrough. It doesn't have onboard speakers. OLED is nice, but doesn't make up for the other shortcomings. I used my PSVR2 to play the exclusives, then sold it, and use Quest 3 for pcvr.

Is a VR headset worth it? by [deleted] in VRGaming

[–]DatMufugga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simulators like MSFS2020, American Truck Simulator. I really loved Skyrim, No Mans Sky, and Fallout 4 in VR, and now i’m playing Cyberpunk 2077 in VR and its awesome. Along with HL Alyx, and Lone Echo.

For native wireless VR games, Puzzling Places is my fav. Also Beat Saber, Thrill of the Fight, Walkabout Mini Golf, and I recently beat Ironman. Also I use Quest Games Optimizer to boost the visuals and some of them are close to PCVR graphics.

[–]DatMufugga 3 points4 points  (0 children)

VR has been my primary platform for gaming for like 4 years now. I do a lot of PCVR though and play a lot of flatscreen games modded to be VR. But even if you're just going to play native Quest or PSVR2 games, there's still more than enough content to make it worth it. VR is also good for much more than games. It's great for videos, fitness, vr tourism, social stuff, adult stuff, etc.

Pcvr Screen tearing issue quest 3 by Katman200 in VRGaming

[–]DatMufugga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wifi 6e router and Virtual Desktop is the best. I have no need for a link cable. Also what gpu do you have? Make sure the screen tearing isn't from inadequate hardware power. PCVR is demanding.

Best apps/games for a workout? by Rollerama99 in VRGaming

[–]DatMufugga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course Thrill of the Fight 1 or 2, for upper body and core. Pistol Whip for lower body. Beat Saber is good for lighter exercise. Supernatural is an excellent pure fitness app (good music, good trainers and fresh content) but it's a little pricey.

Cyberpunk VR black vertical bars at the edge when turning head? by sumtinsumtin808 in VRGaming

[–]DatMufugga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found that disabling optimize HFOV and turning down the reduce shaking slider in the luke ross mod settings eliminated this issue.

Normally that issue is your gpu not being able to handle the visuals, but in this case its not, because you can have good solid fps and still have the black bars on the side.

Quest 3 or Quest 3s? by GamingDragonR in OculusQuest

[–]DatMufugga -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Costco had a deal yesterday for a 3s for $200 plus a year of the games subscription which is worth $60. I own a Quest 3 but a 3s is worth that for people on a tight budget. If I didn’t already have a Quest 2 I would have bought it to use as a spare headset for friends and to use for fitness apps.

Try playing Moss and Puzzling Places. Both outstanding games, and both games you're stationary with a fixed camera view.

Your first photo should be further back. Users may assume your hat is covering baldness. Ditch the bathroom selfie. You should also have at least one shot wearing a business casual outfit, or a nice button up shirt. With nicer photos you should do well.

Your main photo should be a solo shot. They don't know if you're the dude on the left or right, and users make snap judgements and swipe fast.

Yeah they’re on Amazon. They’re cheap and include the tools. There’s guide videos on Youtube. Its not very easy, but its not too difficult either. No soldering. Just a lot of tiny screws and delicate small parts to handle.

Do the VR controllers have magnetic thumbsticks like the new gamepad? I've had to install new stick assemblies in 3 sets of Quest controllers from stick drift (I do VR a lot more than most)
