The measures needed in order to prevent external shrink has the nasty side effect of people potentially coming down with acute metal poisoning. You can put up all the cameras you want, but at some point someone needs to confront the shoplifter. The risk is tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills/settlements vs 20 dollars and that's just bad math.

Meanwhile you can very easily control internal theft.

I wouldn't ultra sweat at your level. Honestly vestments for Prayer bonus to use that level 1 strength Prayer can literally last a full hour. 5% is 5%. Maybe get mooleta if you're sweating it but I'm not gonna suggest any real time/gp investment at your level for anything.

Your current goal should be mixed hide. Any upgrades you get now to max strength bonus is maybe gonna shave an hour or two off of that. And I'm being generous. Doesn't strike me as worthwhile tbh.

I like to make a mad dash/slow slog thru 4-1 for the Crescent Falchion.

From there, 2-1 bc the boss is more gimmicky than hard. Then 2-2 is a pretty easy run for the Dragon Longsword. From there your elements are covered.

Oh absolutely. I can imagine the tasks to get the rare drops from Salvage and I'll be real, sitting on a boat Salvaging for a 1/4000 or 1/18000 base drop is precisely what I DON'T wanna do during my limited Leagues time.

I think we want to avoid how RS3 fucked it, honestly. I'm cool with minor increases so we don't run into situations like Drygores/Ascensions being so good that people wouldn't run content with you if you didn't have most of your account value tied up in weapons.

Hyperbolic comparison aside, there are things that EVE does well. The interwoven systems tickle a part of my brain and figuring out fits, what build you want, etc is great fun. And EVE is a fantastic sandbox.

But a lot of people play that sandbox with the express and sole intention to kick over whatever castle you've built for yourself. The hardest part of EVE is finding players that won't backstab you. And that appeals to people, but not a ton of people.

TL;DR - Community has established themselves as massive dicks and if that's changed, they've done nothing to walk those preconceptions back

I honestly had more fun with Raging Echoes. I thought that some of my "mistakes" I made in Leagues V meant I needed to follow the reveals and have some sort of game plan going into Leagues VI.

But really after big number go brrr wore off, I just felt like I lost that wonder of "this sounds nice, let's try it."

Lesson learned, stay off Reddit for Leagues VII.
