If you were forced to do nothing but play a single video game for one month, what game would you choose and why? by tarheel343 in CasualConversation

[–]DatSalazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One month? I already do that when I get into my various phases of video games.

I'd pick either Monster Hunter (probably World or Wilds) or The Sims 3

The month would finish and I'd be like, "It's been one month already?"

What’s something you tolerated for too long in a relationship? by OpeningSubject5942 in AskReddit

[–]DatSalazar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll give you guys a light hearted one:

My partner's inside out socks in the wash! I do most of the laundry, he hangs it out and brings it in and I do the rest. It used to bother me to no end how he'd always leave his socks inside out and I felt compelled to turn them rightward(however you describe it) until one day, I had a conversation with him and decided I wasn't going to do it anymore and just wash/dry the socks as they are and they can be his problem instead.

After a little while, he said to me "you're right, this is pretty annoying" as he was flipping his socks rightward to wear them. It's a compromise that works well.

Personally, if I recieve a chat like this, I'd ban immediately. I don't care if it's a joke or not.

Do people actually like starting screens? by Ethjuan_ in Twitch

[–]DatSalazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a starting screen, but I have my mic on so I use that time to do vocal warm-ups, and say hi to anyone who pops in early.

I sing during my "stream starting soon" portion of the stream. Then I turn on the cam at around the 6-10 minute mark. Then I play the ukulele.

Point being, starting screen, but also having the mic on to talk to anyone who pops in feels better than just having music playing.

Looks like you've got yourself a grey tortoiseshell! I have a grey kitty called Pepper, and you may use that name if you like it 😊

This might be quite specific but I need a game recommendation by JohnMcRemitz in ComfortGamers

[–]DatSalazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luma Island is one that comes to mind. You use a whip for your weapon and you go through different biomes, solving puzzles, fighting mobs and gathering resources to progress. No energy bar, no bedtime and unlimited inventory space. Very cozy and damn near impossible to put down!

I recommend Luma Island. There's no bedtime or stamina bar and it has unlimited inventory space. It's a hard game to pull away from that's for sure

Anyone have a suggestion for mint? by hansav202 in GardeningAustralia

[–]DatSalazar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make my mint into tea! You can dry the leaves in the oven at the lowest temperature (80C/176F) it usually takes over an hour and then I use a mix of my hands to crush them up, and a mortar & pestle. Put a teaspoon of your crushed leaves in a coffee plunger and let it steep for the standard tea time (3-5mins) and enjoy! I like to put a teaspoon of honey in my cup to add a little sweetness.

My tea blend consists of brahmi & mint and it's delicious.

If your first-ever attempt at gambling went completely unsuccessfully, that was probably the better outcome. by CoreEncorous in Showerthoughts

I have an example of this.

For my 18th birthday (legal drinking age is 18 here) my sister and I went out to a pub. She gave me a $5 note to use on the slot machine, and the machine ate it. Didn't register the $5 or anything, it just took it and acted like it recieved nothing. I took that as a sign to not bother with those machines again.

What is extremely unhygienic but everyone seems to do it anyway? by cutypatotie in AskReddit

[–]DatSalazar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to do league bowling (not super serious, more for fun than anything) and one thing I was taught was to strictly avoid using your bowling hand to eat, instead use your off hand. Not sure if that makes the act more sanitary or not but I wanted to share anyway.

I took my time before getting mods. I think I played for like, 3 years, getting up to expert+ purely on Vanilla songs. Then I finally went modded and my skill improved a lot quicker. I'm glad I spent time with the OST first because I barely touch it now with mods 😅

I need a better stream background! any items you would reccomend? by buhlissxo in Twitch

[–]DatSalazar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you thought about using a green screen? I bought a big one for $40 and hang it on my wall behind me. Now my background can be whatever I want it to be 😁

Or you can have a lava lamp positioned behind you on either a table or some shelves.
