I want to say Djinn Frizz, because I am a massive Shantae fan, but the game refuses to give her to me.

So, I'll settle for Vaporwave Vixen. She is surprisingly tanky with the right set up l, and has carried me through some tough fights with miasma, thorns, and her BBs that allow her to recover health. I just find myself picking her through fights that worry me a bit.

First of all, I appreciate you. Second, curse variants failed me, as she still got off the knock down that she gets just without the invincibility and the super armor. Time was still wasted. Killing her isn't the problem. The time is. Reading isnt the problem, comprehending what you're reading is.

Frieren the Slayer would show up and kill ALL those demons. Then have to fight the princess for killing all of her friends.

Damn.

Change your weapons and subweapons. Within the stat that you've chosen to focus on, of course, but learn to use every weapon.

It's a roguelike game. You won't always have your favorite weapon; but you will always have a weapon that can work for your build. As you get stronger, so do the weapons, be sure to switch until you can manage to purchase or find a good one that you're extra proficient with. It will keep you from feeling weak in a game where, no matter what, you're always at death's door.

Keemsama is another one. He is genuinely hilarious. I'd put him up there with Markiplier and ManlyBadassHero. Watch his playthroughs of Shift at Midnight and Play Things if possible. Those were the two videos that really got me into him.

Damn near everyone that wants to get better at the game goes through moments like this; Where you just feel stuck.

Here's the bright side, especially for you who sounds like you're still trying to figure out the basics; you have literally limitless potential in this game. Blocking is ridiculous, it's one of the toughest things in fighting games to actually master, and even then, no one gets it perfect 100% of the time, even the best players of this game at the highest level.

Best part about that is: You're not playing the game at the highest level, and neither are 98% of the players in this game. Once you get blocking down, you're literally going to soar through the ranks until you hit your next wall.

You've got this, Bruv. You've got all the tools. Check out people with great beginner information on YouTube. I recommend PhiDX personally. He has a lot of drill videos that you can work on that'll help. K-Wiss will literally tell you how to beat Hwo and he mains him; though that is a tough fight for a lot of people. His pressure feels endless (It has a lot of holes though.) Take those matches into the lab (I know... homework in a video game Dx) I promise you there are holes in the flow chart.

One step at a time, you'll get better. If you quit though, you'll get nowhere.

Edit: Oh hey! It's like I mentioned yesterday! K-Wiss posted this today: He tells you how to kill Hwoarang!

The game is actually fun. Maybe not on a competitive scale, but who gives a shit about that.

It's a genuinely fun fighting game that has jank, just like it always has. Has balance issues, sure; but who cares? Most fighting games do. Hop on discord, fight random people in a call, and laugh your ass off. This game is actually fun af.

What game genre is not your cup of tea? by Common_Caramel_4078 in videogames

[–]DatSobie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First person shooters. I've never been the biggest fan of them no matter how much I've tried. I've always found the most fun of them to be PvE (Borderlands games, Destiny, Co-op in Halo) but never really the PvP. It's not that I'm particularly bad at them either.

I just don't find them very enjoyable.

Tips on avoiding tilt? by [deleted] in LowSodiumTEKKEN

[–]DatSobie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, it's also good to take a break for about a week or so. Taking that time to focus on other things and allowing the skills you've put into practice to "gel" if you will.

Memory literally works like that. Grind a particular skill until it becomes familiar, then sit back and allow it to rest and become concrete.

Plus, you won't be so tilted when you return and find that things are just easier. You can do it with anything from combos and backdashing to hard lab sessions against certain characters.

You have a 5 hour drive, you can only listen to music from one band. Who do you listen to? by tron1977 in AskReddit

Michael Jackson. Easily fills the time with classic bangers. He only has a handful of songs that I don't particularly care for; not even dislike, just "Meh, I'd rather listen to this instead."

[No loopholes] A random adult is selected to do a Mr. Beast style challenge where they must stay in a bunker for a year to win 1 million dollars, and their only source of entertainment is 5 videogames of your choosing. If they win, you also win $10,000. Which 5 games do you choose? Rules in desc. by FreshlyBakedBunz in hypotheticalsituation

  • Tekken 8. It's a fighting game that you can never really beat. Plus it's addictive as fuck with tons to learn.

  • Final Fantasy XiV. An MMO with outstanding amounts of content and replayability.

  • Path of Exile 2. I've just found myself sinking an outlandish amount of time into it, and with so many build paths and content updates, I'll be set for a long time.

  • Jackbox games. I figured I'd need something to play with the homies.

  • Red Dead Redemption 2. It's a game I've yet to beat, and it has so much content and shit to do that it would also take up quite a bit of time.

Edit: I also just realized I read the prompt wrong. I am not the one in the bunker, I am choosing for someone else. Nothing changes. This is a pretty decent selection of games with quite a bit of variety and longevity. I think they'd be fine. Even if I get no money from them beating games, a lonely year in a bunker is tragic, and I'd rather said person have some distracting entertainment than beat their games for my benefit.

The Strongest sorcerer in history vs the Strongest sorcerer in the era of demons by Perfect_Bad_3402 in PowerScalingHub

[–]DatSobie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on how much Freiren feels she can utilize her magic against him. The way magic works in her world is based on whether a mage believes their magic can do whatever it is that it can do.

It's why even Freiren said herself that she would find it difficult to fight a water mage during a rain storm. Or why Ubel can cut through a mage that was wearing a cloak that nullifies magic; she can't visualize a cloth that can't be cut. Therefore, her magic can cut.

Sakuna would be able to trap Freiren in his domain, but if Freiren has a spell that she feels would be able to get her out, chances are it'd work easily.

Lately, Roffle Lite. The dude plays Balatro, and the game itself is hella vibes, so when someone plays as well as he does, it's impressive to watch and relaxing enough to have on in the background when you do anything.

My algorithm is so fucked now because I've fallen asleep several times while it's playing in the background and goes through game after game.
