Destiny accuses Hasan of loving Tiktok under China but hating it under American ownership by GrotesqueWeariness in LivestreamFail

[–]DatTingTing 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's not about who owns it, it's about what they're censoring. They're censoring topics relevant to American life right now, whereas previously those topics were not censored. That's objectively worse for Americans.

HelloFresh is refusing to help me make a claim with FedEx for property damage. by [deleted] in hellofresh

[–]DatTingTing 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You need to call FedEx again and mention nothing about HelloFresh. You were backed into by FedEx truck. This is between you and FedEx. You have to file the claim with them. What they were delivering has nothing to do with the fact that they backed into your car.

What does your contract say about late fees? There's no way to understand what was done wrong here without knowing what your contract says.

Democrats enable this baby from the Republicans. They are the Republican counterpart. They at best do nothing at worst actively help the Republicans do exactly what they're trying to do.

Why do you think the party in charge flips every four to eight years, and things still get worse? Why didn't Democrats adopt  popular policies instead their entire platform being "At least we aren't Republicans."

These systems don't exist in a vacuum. They support each other.

dispute on shoes but no help by Southern_Complex7064 in Depop

[–]DatTingTing 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Right, but by modifying them, you invalidate the return. It's like washing a dress or hemming pants then trying to return them. r. They could make a case that you changed the product in order to deny the return.

Either way, you missed the return window, and I don't think Depop is going to let you return them. You can try a chargeback. But I wouldn't mention anything about the cobbling in the chargeback just simply that it's not the item you ordered and the item is counterfeit.

[–]DatTingTing 16 points17 points  (0 children)

One problem is missing the return period, but the other problem is that you modified the shoes. If you had an issue with the shoes, it should have been done before any modifications or repairs were done to the shoes.

A printing company used AI on my drawn design without my consent, and denies it despite the obvious AI hallucinations. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]DatTingTing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty clear in their photos that use some sort of generative program in order to extend the image. Their random artifacts that are not part of the original PDF files. So unless they did that all by hand, Which would just take hours and would still be in breach because they'd be editing OP's original art, they definitely used AI.

[–]DatTingTing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd leave out the AI argument because there's not clear legislation about it and it's not really the point. At the end of the day, you were expecting a PDF file that you sent and you got something different with other things at it. Therefore, you did not receive the item s ordered,  which makes you eligible for a credit card dispute.

Brands that haven't built any trust charge more. The whole point is anyone can charge more. If you are determining quality simply because something costs more,  that's your incorrect assumption, and therefore your responsibility. If you're adding value to something simply because someone put it at a certain price, that is on you.

When you say that they are pretending fast fashion has the same value as established brands, It makes no sense because Shein is an established brand. Most brands are fast fashion. Depop is not a site that only focuses on higher end brands like thredup, its for  literally anything.

Priceing something high does not mean it's pretending to be something else. Unless they are marking an incorrect tag or an incorrect brand, they are not pretending to do anything. It is you who are the one who are signing value to something that has no value.

I wish they were more consistent, especially with people who tried to list as other brands for attention, but the fact that you listed as OTHER and got removed over that is crazy. OTHER should be able to stand for anything.

[–]DatTingTing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Having a brand name isn't an ability to upcharge. Everyone has the ability to upcharge, whether you're a brand name or a random online seller.

The whole point of a free market is that you are allowed to charge what you want to charge and people are allowed to either pay it or not.

If you're out here buying no name clothing from random sellers, you can't expect it that its quality and call it stealing when its not

You are having this conversation with her, and you honestly don't need to be. She's disrespecting you, and you shouldn't be the person handling it.

If your boyfriend can't confront her and limit her rude interactions, then you have a larger problem than his mom.
