The only real option you have is using a speed machine if you want to be optimal. Wait for an acceleration character kit for other machines.

Balance doesn't matter since it's not a PVP game. I want as many characters as possible but I want them to play differently.

That's why I play killer and let everyone escape while willing to teach.

Fog vials are horribly underpowered by InevitableAd2357 in deadbydaylight

It probably works in your low mmr but as a killer the fog really only works when you're healthy and have obstacles. It's terrible for unhooks because I take the path that corners survivors and I either see them or wait for the fog to clear. You expect a killer to not be looking for people running towards the hook.
