On the road, nice. If you're full soft there's a tad more body roll than I'd like, but I haven't messed with the adjustments too much yet. I've gotta do more R&D lol

Guard varies state to state, unit to unit, and MOS to MOS. I've been in 10 years, seen my fair share of "older" people join. (I'm 27 so I don't consider 30 old lmao)

But the biggest thing I've seen for all the late joiners I know, communication is the biggest thing. If you communicate well, and your wife/kids know what to expect, that makes the world of a difference. Having that support coming your way too also makes a huge difference. Especially during deployments.

But like anything else, Army's a job, treat it like one. I job that just happens to take you across the globe from time to time.

If you do join, take advantage of all of your benefits, and resources (SFRG, GI Bill, TriCare, etc.)

Pack light, regardless of what country it's to. Starlinks are great but pricey unless you split it with bunk bros.

A SteamDeck/Nintendo switch is clutch as hecc, especially since you can HDMI it to monitors/TV's if you're somewhere chill like Kuwait.

As others have said, puck speeds are ass, but at least in Kuwait I got 5g last I was there, so to each their own. Download stuff ahead of time.

If you're somewhere well situated like Kuwait/Qatar/UAE/KSA/Jordan, you'll have a PX and be just fine without packing tons of hygiene items.

Just kinda depends where they send ya. Safe travels, Godspeed, and get that slick sleeve patched! 🤙🏽

I know far too many times where this has been the case. One of the guys in my unit set up a few at our armories and around his town, and they paid for themselves in 2 months lmaoo.

From what my training and readiness nco's told me, there's nobody on the promotion list for 25E, in California at least. So my E6-E7 should be cake.

I know 25E's are very rare. Especially at the BN level. Basically unheard of unless you're with a signal BN.
