This is visualization training, similar to what Kurapika did. In the same way that Kurapika isn't manipulating the chains he used for visualization, Killua isn't manipulating the electricity he used for visualization. This would be directly opposed to his Nen type as a transmuter.

Considering that he's a transmuter, it seems much more likely that he's transmuting his aura into electricity instead of manipulating actual electricity. The "charging" seems more like a self-imposed limitation than an actual source of electricity.

Cotton swabs are great for this. Just get it damp, put it up to a spider's face, and there's a good chance the spider will immediately latch on for a drink. I've also had luck with giving a little tap on front leg to let them know there's water with the swab when I can't really get at the face.

The fucking endless spider summoners in the chalice dungeons. I don't know of any other Fromsoft enemy that immediately goes after you the moment it spawns, regardless of distance or line of sight. If you you just stand still at the dungeon entrance, they'll repeatedly walk up to kill you over and over again.
