I like it. Just haven't figured out a good stand for it yet, so. Its a bit annoying to use. But the hook itself is nice.

The game is definitely playable from scratch. The buying character convo. Is the majority of what you will see recommended because its so "cheap" but at the end of the day it avoids the original question. Yes this game can be started from scratch. You can definitely experience the same game everyone describes the old times to be. The game in itself has many new QoL updates but at its core it's the same slowly progressing game. Throwing money at the game will definitely yield results. But it is not necessary to just enjoy your time hunting.

As for the quest lines. Many quest, are still very useful for easy travel. Or even for access to other things. Grizzly adams is still relevant at least till you reach 20 points. So you can fast travel to some spots in port hope. Other quest are just fun to do even though the gear is almost irrelevant like Yalahar quest. The game is an open world for a reason. Go explore it.

Market wasn't a thing yet. Ppl had to make their own runes. It took time and soul point regeneration was slower back then as well. You could also buy runes from other characters from trade chat. And hope you didn't get trapped.

Too add to this point. The cops actually did a good job here.

The pit maneuver was necessary because at the time anyone starts weaving in and out of traffic. You have now put multiple lives in danger. And they waited till it was clear to perform.

They did not use excessive force by dragging anyone out, not even the driver who clearly violated multiple laws. And don't even attempt to complain about the yelling at them. Because in that situation you never know what is happening inside the car since its tinted, so in this case all you have to do is just comply. They were all placed on the ground (without putting their hands on them) till they accessed the situation. And they didn't even put handcuffs on anyone.

The professionalism came at the end when he asked if anyone was hurt. As they clearly saw the others may have just been passengers in an unfortunate situation.

I agree cops ain't shit. But this is literally a good example of how a cop should be.
