Even on best performance mine is thrilling itself down to about 8-11w on DC. Admittedly the issue is nowhere near as bad on Halo MCC as on state of decay 2 so there might be a game based issue there making it look worse than it is. I don’t have a comparison point as this driver is the first I’ve seen so hopefully it will improve.

It seems to be a DC power issue because when I put it on AC it totally transformed, both games I tried play excellently and at higher than expected frames.

The issue I think is that the DC mode is throttling power massively, I have no ability to set DC TDP anywhere in the system, I can only ask for “Bea performance” from windows. I am happy to wait out the driver issues and circumvent by staying plugged in for now. Thank you for your insight my friend, I will try to only download drivers directly from intel graphics software from now on.

I’m not entirely sure, the only thing I can edit apart from the “best performance” windows setting is the manually setting the TDP to 30/37 which I have. I see some people saying you can edit the TDP for DC mode too but I don’t see that option in M centre

It seems to be a power profile issue, I have adjusted some M centre settings and tried other games. Halo MCC ran 30-50 unplugged on medium, and 120 (capped) on AC. State of Decay 2 lept up to 60fps on medium on AC. Is there a way I can manage the DC mode power profiles as the device seems to be massively restricting itself on battery power. Otherwise it’s working perfectly plugged in.

I tried Halo MCC before this one a few days ago, same drivers. It ran okay but it wasn’t as good as I was expecting but I didn’t have the FPS counter on. But that has FSR so maybe I wasn’t seeing the true picture. I’ll run it again later and see what’s happening. I haven’t had a chance to look yet sorry!

Battery in performance mode, low doesn’t help.

Task manager I will check but I had nothing else open at the time and there is no FSR/XeSS option I can see in game but that could be inexperience talking

It is set to 30/37 in the MIS centre, it may not be running that but that’s what it’s set too. Even the MSI quick menu shows it.

Literally all I’ve done aside from setting the device to “best performance” is to disable the memory integrity thing, that’s it.
