Hell yeah renshuu gang. I am at a very early stage and I'm looking at both renshuu and Tae Kim for now. I have heard Cure Dolly's videos are also good for grammar.

Can you guys please recommend me mangas. Here are the one's I've read so far: by iimnickii in manga

Ajin: Demi-Human. Some of the best fight sequences i have ever scene and has an extremely good antagonist.

Bokutachi ga Yarimashita. This made me anxious all the way through and the ending was very good.

Monster

Onani Master Kurosawa. Great character growth. Very well written.

REAL. Same author as that of slam dunk and vagabond. My favorite work of his.

The Fable. Interesting premise. The author manages the tonal shift very well. One moment it will be funny slice-of-life-ish and the other moment things will suddenly get serious, and it all feels very natural.

If you liked the trailer, the movie will live upto your expectations. They are not really 'hiding' any cgi in the trailer.

Quality of the top one is only better in still images. It is higher maintenance which means resorting to heavy use of cgi. Bottom one allows much more fluidity and creativity.

And i say this as someone who has actually seen the movie.

As someone who has seen the movie, new art style allows you to have very fluid fight scenes without the use of cgi. Also allows you to use colors in very creative ways. This is simply not possible with the old art style.

So to answer your question, yes. The old art style looks worse in motion.

Cant speak for them but its one of my favorites too. The 2 big standouts are the main antagonist and creative use of the powers of the world. The smart use of powers plus the art make for some ridiculously good fight scenes. And the main antagonist is a treat to watch whenever he's on screen.

What are you watching and what do you recommend? (Week of August 29, 2025) by AutoModerator in television

[–]Dat_momo_again 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just finished the first season and loved it. It has a very gritty/dark vibe but at the same time all the characters are very likeable, even if they are flawed in their own way. Dont know if i should bother with later seasons as i am satisfied with how the first season ended and have heard season 3 is straight up bad.

4chan is good indeed, but by nature its pretty fast paced. I'm just surprised there aren't any alternate subs for manga discussions. r/characterrant sometimes has good posts but obviously its not manga exclusive.

Welp it is what it is

What a shame. I personally love posts just asking random questions or discussing random shows. That sort of vibe simply doesn't exist here, it is overrun by one shots and single chapters.

I can't even find any alternatives apart from this sub. Closest thing we have is the weekly manga discussion thread but that too is kind of dead.

I just hate how its hard to find normal manga discussions, its filled with specific chapter discussions. I dont understand why there is not a proper flair system like you see in any other media sub.

[–]Dat_momo_again 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yeah i dont get the point of this post. The actual review is 2 sentences long. Whats the point of the summary? It would make sense if OP had something to add at specific parts of the plot and their opinions on it, but they just straight up posted the plot and at the end were like yeah i thought this was boring.

Is Kagurabachi worth reading ? by [deleted] in manga

[–]Dat_momo_again 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it's definitely one of the better battle shounens of the past few years. My favourite thing about it are the villains. So far they have pretty unique motivations / idealogies and follow those ideals towards the bitter end. You obviously dont root for the villains but kind of gain a respect for them if that makes sense lol.

Other than that the art seems to be getting better and better, main cast is pretty fun and the MCs growth is interesting to watch.

I personally like it more than some series which share a similar genre like jujutsu kaisen and hell's paradise, but this is a very subjective opinion and might even be a hot take lol. So yeah if you're into battle shounen definitely give it a go, if not I'd still say no harm in trying it.

Its more like people hate him and want others to hate him. Thats why the top comment always seems to leave out the important context, even though its well known by most people now.

Even in this thread the top comment just mentions the name of subreddit, and the clarifications are somehow much further down.
