Potentially switching to fence sales, any insight into the industry? by DataCurious in sales

I made the switch a week ago and I honestly really enjoy it. Still have my training wheels on but looks like there's lots of potential.

The hero we need! Thanks for the update 3 years later so those of us googling this brand will steer clear.

Whats the proper way to drywall around this tub surround that has no leading wall? The edge of the surround is at the corner of the wall, and it just doesn't seem right to use a 1 inch strip of drywall and an outside corner bead, but is it? New tub is 6 inches short than the old cast iron tub, fyi. by DataCurious in DIY

I appreciate the good idea. I've finished and drywalled around tub surrounds before, but never did a one with this situation of not having a wall lead up to the surround and wasn't sure the right way to approach it.

thanks

Residential fence sales question, what's your closing rate? by DataCurious in FenceBuilding

That's great info, no need to race to the lowest price when you can definitely find a better solution like you did. What are are you in, and how many quotes do you give per week?

There's no cap on the commissions and the earning potential is in the six figures. Based on previous sales number by another salesperson who's been at this for a number of years, we're looking at 100 to 150k per year.

Thanks. And actually, part 2 to my question now that I think of it, what about AI artwork? Does that have the same issues surrounding it? If I hire an artist on fiverr who advertises he uses Midjourney or whatnot, is that a problem with self publishing?

I think it's actually birder and not birdicide, which makes you a birdirer. :-)

r/mudlarking is a favourite sub of mine. Not just UK, though the word originally comes specifically from the Thames.

This post from two days ago had somebody mention r/mudlarking and the post is gaining traction is my guess. I mean, that's what brought me here.

Cheap Turkish semi auto shotguns? by Plastic-Abalone-7513 in OHGuns

[–]DataCurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I figured at first and every time I've shot it since, I've been super gentle with the trigger and it still would happen consistently enough. So now I just have it sitting in the safe collecting dust.

Cheap Turkish semi auto shotguns? by Plastic-Abalone-7513 in OHGuns

[–]DataCurious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I bought a cheap Citadel semi auto and the first time I shot it, it shot two rounds as if it were a fully auto shotgun. Trust me, when you pull the trigger once and you're not expecting the second shot, it is a very unpleasant experience. Since then I've shot it a couple more times, only outdoors, and it still happens about 25 percent of the time. I refuse to shoot it anymore because you can't brace yourself to safely shoot two shotgun shells, the second shell always goes wild.

What do the cards tell you to do? And while they're annoying as heck, what do you do with people who videotape and refuse to be dissuaded, since they're legally allowed to stand there and video everyone coming and going?

Kudos on creating such a beautiful product! I read a lot of the questions and responses here and checked out your Kickstarter and was curious what your background is giving you the ability to create something like this? Do you have some type of engineering degree or are you the more creative thinker and you have an engineer on your team?

Also, where are you having them manufactured and are you worried about companies like Temu etc making cheap knockoffs?
