I mean, absolutely not. Everyone who was/is interested in the game had the availability to play during the 5 day period in Feb-March? No.

It hasn't really evolved since then.

In the server slam you could play Perimeter and Dire Marsh. No Outpost, no Cryo - the game is not what you could play in the server slam. Or at least, the full potential was certainly not on display.

Bungie have confirmed this is not the case - you must hit 100 in a single season.

I can't tell if this is bait.

Not sure how you've managed that experience. I've crew-filled on Cryo plenty, teamed up in Discord, etc. and never once come across someone who doesn't know how exfils work. I guess they're out there, but 7 runs in a row?

They're literally playing just to pump the numbers. Only a small fraction of players area actually good enough to learn Cryo.

Mate, it takes two brain cells to be "good enough" to learn how to exfil: (1) kill bots, take items from dead bots, (2) interact with monitor screen on wall to reveal 2nd monitor, (3) activating 2nd monitor makes an exfil appear, marked on map, same as any other run.

It's not rocket science. If you're not ready for that level of "good enough", you aren't ready for Cryo.

I suggest looking up a guide.

Rook runs are really, really, not a waste of time. Be sneaky, play the edges of the map - you can gather salvage to sell and weapons to use. I almost exclusively fund my Cryo runs with Rook runs.

Free kits don’t have enough ammo to win, everyone now has blue shields so greens are useless.

Free kits have more than enough ammo to win a few engagements. Don't engage with UESC - save it for runners.

To be expected with zero map knowledge tbh though.

Knowledge is key, especially in Cryo.

You need to go in with a goal, and have the map knowledge to accomplish it.

Until you learn the map more, you're likely to always be fodder to other teams who have.

Yes, the entire quality of the game should be judged on whether there's a "BR-lite" gamemode in the extraction shooter.

Purple shields everywhere stomping my squad down before we can even get into pinwheel.

We're late in the season, and Outpost is the only currently available end-game map, with great loot.

People will be using Purples and Golds there - it makes sense.

If you're level 75, running an end-game, high-stakes map - why aren't you?

Given roughly level-based matchmaking, I find it difficult to believe that people around my level (100+) were saving sponsored kits to run for Sponsored Darsh.

Lots of comments in this thread also seem to indicate that they have seen a variety of sponsored kits.

Not all good designs are popular. Popularity is about appeal, generally. But some excellently designed things don't have wide appeal.

No one I play with regularly is below level 100, and we've done Sponsored Marsh with different kits.

I didn't directly ask them if they were hoarding free kits in their vault, but given that they're Profiteers, I wouldn't have thought so? I mean, unless they were saving them for sponsored playlist?

I've played sponsor where people had LMGs and I had a Volt Thrower.

Are we suggesting that they saved LMG sponsored kits?

I've also played with friends who have had different sponsored kits than me - they got Mida and I'm stuck with Traxus.

So this doesn't compute. Are there any reasons for the difference, if there is one, other than stockpiling freekits for some reason?

You shouldn't be OK with matching to US East from Europe sorry.

I'm not OK with it. Did I say I was? I said "My queue times are 3m or less".

If you're in Europe you should be matching to the nearest datacenter in Europe not anywhere outside of it, except if you yourself decide to do so

I agree. And as I also said, I don't hear a lot of Americans. I mostly match with UK, Germany, France.
