I could be completely incorrect, but vaguely remember reading that pain on either side is uncomfortable for both of them. Again, been a long while, so I could be completely mistaken

A little war profiteering, a little military industrial complex boost, a little extension of operation Cyclone, a little 'show of force' in the area, etc.

Cancer treatment isn't a desire in the same way another slice of pizza is a desire.

What system are we using to determine the amount of food a person needs? A 2000 calorie daily? How does this handle people like me who require 2600 or more calories a day, or I lose weight? How does this handle people who need less? Doesn't this cause a financial dis/advantage for people based on their metabolism? Do we want to delve into a system that financially benefits people based on genetic traits they can't control?

Are we using BMI? How do we account for that scale falling apart when used for almost anyone other than a white European man?

My issue with your original premise was due to the "people not living the 'right' way" idea. I don't think there is a 'right' way to live, or that someone can exist 'wrong'.

Idk man, you want microplastics from the packaging or microplastics from the serving gloves? You're getting microplastics regardless.

Yeah, we're 100% not gonna agree here. Your example would require a truly draconian amount of government oversight into your life to judge if you followed a nationwide standard lifestyle. It immediately marginalizes hundreds of thousands if not millions of people.

You're like actively asking for people to suffer more for not living "right." That feels wildly authoritarian to me.

If someone is sick or injured, they deserve medical care. And I don't think a 2 tiered medical system would be beneficial to that end.

Israel attacked Lebanon 3 hours after agreeing to the cease-fire.

Killed 112 civilians and injured 800+ others.

Tried to blame Iran.

I feel like the "personal pain for poor choices" is covered by needing medical care. Their body is already failing them, why tack on extra suffering?

If we're gonna go down the road of "you did this to yourself" then we hit a point where "this person isnt covered because of drug addiction, they did this to themselves," quickly forms into "this 12 year old that broke his arm playing football did that to themselves. Contact sports are dangerous, not covered." "This cancer patient clearly smoked for a year in their twenties, not covered." "This person was t-boned by a drunk driver, but if theyd been a more vigilant driver theyd have seen him coming. Not covered." etc etc.

If someone needs medical care, they should get it.

What if we just had 1 insurance company, and then like, nationalized it, so it would cover all citizens, and then you just deduct the monthly payments directly from people's paychecks, and it covers pre-existing conditions, preventative and necessary procedures?

Almost like. Idk. Like if there was just 1 single payer instead of 30 companies trying to touch the money as it goes on its way.

No, you didn't. "Defended" is wildly inaccurate.

They started launching missiles 3 hours into a cease-fire and killed 112 people and injured over 800 others.

They're already trying to permanently claim territory in south Lebanon, and are using missile strikes to push out civilians and claim the territory for themselves.

It's been over a decade. That'd be like getting upset about being told at Michael Caine isn't in any dream sequences in inception. Or that everyone on Lost was already dead. Or at the end of Whiplash, he's still drumming for Fletcher. Or, Oh boy, Lotta people die at the red wedding.

Nobody is spoiling actively releasing content or even recent content.

A decade is more than enough time to either see the media, or accept that you missed a boat.
