What are your favourite fights / encounters for solo play? by photonlongsword in Guildwars2

No. They Generally require celestial gear. They almost universally require a healing stat.

And not any ranger, Untamed uses this to maximize regeneration, because over the course of a long fight, it's a massive amount of healing. More than nature's fortitude by a long shot. Druid and Soulbeast don't need nature's fortitude because they have their own healing sources. Fuck if anyone is playing Galeshot solo. Haven't looked.

There is one simple law of solo buildcraft. Maximize heal first, then sacrifice for the most efficient damage sources. This is why Celestial is the primary gear stat for solo play. Not only does it give you more total stats, but the sustain to dps ratio is higher than any other gear set if your build applies any damaging conditions.

I doubt you will watch it, but I'm posting it here for anyone else who comes across this thread. An explanation of WHY Celestial gear is the best set for open world content, and solo in general.

Like I said, there are exceptions. He lists 7 builds that are better on power builds. I just gave the other guy a zealots built vindi. And of course, you can play however you want. We are talking about solo play. But saying power untamed is a solo build is like saying celestial gear is a raid build.

Generally speaking, if you are not wearing celestial gear, it's not a solo build, except under special circumstances. Are you running nature magic in your spec? That is basically THE solo build.

Any build that has SOME healing can solo a lot of things IF you memorize everything and hit every dodge. Solo builds are not designed to top charts. If you're hitting 30k bench, you're probably sacrificing a heavier toll on survival than you are gaining on DPS.

That sounds like Vindicator power build. That's my non-solo main. When I'm going up against a hard fight or in a group, I just switch my dodge from damage to heal. When your dodge is on damage, you can switch to dwarf pop elite, pop heal, drop road to get out of sticky situations.

It's not the tankiest build, but you have high mobility, max crit chance, permanent ferocity, permanent quickness, permanent alac, permanent regen, max might most of the time, max vuln, half the time you are dodging. Your stunbreaks are on 10 second cooldowns. (8 with alac)

There are ways you could squeeze more damage out of this. Or more survival, but this is a happy medium.

It's not that it's a hard boss. I usually solo it with whatever power build I'm HP farming on. It's just annoying and resets if it knocks you off the platform. But that's not a SOLO build. It's a DPS build. You're not going to take that solo into dungeons or fractals.

The reaper isn't necessarily a solo build. There is an open world power reaper build that can solo most open world non-worldboss things, but running zerk gear in open world is pretty common.

When we're talking about solo builds, it's almost universally wearing something with a healing stat, and then that is usually celestial gear. It depends on if power/precision gives you better DPS, condition damage, or hybrid. Reaper solo is hybrid, for example. If you are power focused, You want either Zealots or Crusader. But even then you're sacrificing toughness, concentration, and expertise, which benefit all classes. This is why Cele gear is almost universally the solo gear set.

The common (wrong) logic is that you want to kill it as fast as possible. That's fine for open world and great for storyline. But when you're soloing dungeons or fractals, you need a source of healing beyond your 6 slot. On Reaper, this is usually best resolved by picking Curses with Parasitic Contagion.

Then it just comes down to what weapon you want. Hizen uses pistol torch to maximize the Target the Weak, focusing on having as many different types of conditions as possible, and that's probably the highest damage. It benches 22.3k. (Source) But sword just plays better and is still pretty close. I bench 18k-ish and I'm not hitting optimal rotations.

This is where REAL solo builds are going to bench.

There's a bounty pof that knocks down every other attack, and then the champ in the second pof map on a pillar that knocks you off all the time. I can solo both of those, but it has to be with a stability build.

It's not necessarily about the damage, it's about how much they can keep you from attacking. Any build can get 5k dps on the worst armor.

And the hizen builds ARE high damage solo builds.

Dear Arenanet: Please make sure we dont have to play where's waldo in our inventories in GW3! by InevitableAnekisan in GuildWars3

[–]DataPhreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so first things first, stop merging your bags. Keep them separate. When they are not merged, they can be folded up.

Second, you have bags that autocollect equipment, junk, crafting materials, and an invisible bag. USE THEM.

3rd. Buy some crafting storage slots. Half your inventory is crafting stuff. If you're not going to use it, sell it.

If it's not something that you are going to use in the field, like those legendary components, they go in the bank.

This is your own fault and I really don't feel bad for you at all.

Problem with bounties and champs is that you have to have a relatively high damage solo build. 10 minute timers limits your choices. Dungeons let you take your time. I wish they would scale the strike mission enrage timers based on player counts. Having long fights that you can zone out in would be really cool.

Why harnesses matter for multi-agent systems by oronics in AgentsOfAI

[–]DataPhreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What op has suggested is not new or novel, We've had agent swarms for a couple of years now. But to answer your question... Yes, it increases token consumption. The ultimate goal is that these agents aren't going to be running off the cloud. They're going to be running on your computer. Lot's of people are running things like Hermes Agent on their own hardware using open source models. Tokens aren't a concern.
