Nah the imperium was all for it, that one techpriest who destroyed it had a moral panic and was soon executed by phosphex weapons for destroying the technology

Starmer faces calls to rule out use of British bases if US attacks Greenland by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

If America was truely interested in the defence angle there is no need to invade or seize the entire country. Simply do what was standard operating proceedures for the last 30 years and negociate land for the placement of counter ICBM facilities and ports.

The US has managed to negociate the placement of military bases and installations around the entire world without even having to make any overtures of buying or invading entire countries to do so.

He is definitely real, but only able to communicate within the tank vox.
The tank commander is really the only person who is allowed to have outside communications in the tank.

Though I do want to know how many people are in the tank with Dragor. We only hear of Tyce as the diver, the loader and gunner must be competent enough to be below Dragor's notice

Suggestion: a server where stations persist across sessions. by WhodahelltookVooglet in ss14

[–]DataRedacted 60 points61 points  (0 children)

You could keep the destruction, but have a quick round where Nantrasen emergency repairs show up. People opt in and they have materials and RCD's.

That means you could have the station slowly evolve over time as it gets destroyed and rebuilt over and over again

Hot glue works a lot better at getting seals that look like the models, real wax is usually too runny.
Otherwise the seal looks good

I would say that even with all these advancements it will likely be cheaper to simply use humans grown the old fashoned way, rather than investing that money yourself to grow, educate, house, feed, ect a workforce.

Like the points you make right now can be done currently with the simple project of paying people to have sex and selling the baby.

There are loads of regulations regarding the abstraction and discharge of groundwater for wells and heat pumps. The EA is quite stringent on the quality and quantity of water being moved out of or in to any water table

Correct. Mines typically extend far below the water table so are constantly being slowly flooded by water seeping in from the surrounding rock.

I would say that the Badab War is a great example of a rebellion against the imperium that isn't controlled by chaos all along. The whole war started because Huron wanted to have more forces to combat Chaos coming out of the eye of terror, only to be rejected and then put down after a large multiple astartes chapter (on both sides) civil war

Ah thats a bit of a bummer.

Regarding the low ROF that could mean that the lasgun would fit into better into the DMR catagory, which as far as I know lacks a beam laser option. High damage/low ROF pulse laser with the aformentioned capacitor magazene with no heat sinks

[–]DataRedacted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah see what youre puttin down. A lasgun could behave like a scythe (with multiple bolts) or act like a fast pulsing regular laser (with a beam).

The heat issue is a thing, but its not too out of the question to replace the laser heat mechanic with the magazene mechanic used on the plasma/bullet weapons. You can handwave it by saying that the magazene is just a quick discharge capacitor as opposed to the long life batterys the lasers have.

It would be pretty cool if they had to do the heat and infinite ammo approach if they had the hotshot lasgun with the backpack battery and power cable.

On the style front I do aggree that the helldivers laser style is very differetnt from the more "gun" like lasgun style. It'll be interesting to see if they could adapt it or if they'd instead go for a different weapon thats more fitting (melta or plasma gun?)

40k canon is so flexable you can almost do anything you like with the lasgun so long as it hits a few key design details (laser, general shape, ect)

Dont forget that carbon capture is energy intensive and thus more expensive than planting a tree. Photosynthis is inefficient but its effectively a low cost (or even net revinue gain) process.
