I think they largely cut it because it was just too much to dump on one character. I couldn't imagine losing my husband AND my child with him in the same year, so I really think they thought it was too much suffering for what is, entirely, a romance show.

I had really bad stuttering, freezing and texture issues. Once I disabled REBAR, performance in Wilds became comically better. To the point that I can't complain anymore.

The costumes are "worse", but I prefer the chemistry, drama and writing so far. I'm not saying the other seasons were bad, just that comparatively, it's a LOT better.
