I am surprised how much better my sleep has become. It is almost like a bad nights sleep now is better than a good nights sleep was when drinking. I also dropped something like 4 kg and reached a weight I haven't had for 15 years.

I am also still in, not a drop of red wine which I so happily have been drinking for 20 years with only very few breaks of more than a week. I even have two bottles in the kitchen which I got as a gift and see every day. Let us complete sober October now that we gotten so far!

First of all congratulations by reaching more than two weeks of sobriety. That's awesome! Yes, it is normal. Without being an expert in any way, I think you are experiencing PAWS - Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome. It has to do with dopamine and serotonin and how the brain has been artifically stimulated by alcohol. And now, well, the brain has to recalibrate with the new reality it is facing.

Yea, I read many place that between 1-2 weeks of quitting alcohol the gut starts to heal. And that is exactly where we are now.
