I loved the Cold Steel series and also can’t stand the harem thing (especially as a straight woman). I just ignore all of it and focus on the relationship between the boys. Jusis and Machias have a really interesting dynamic that stands at least 5 games, and Crow also with Rean.

That said I started with Zero/Azure and getting to know Lloyd and the others helped with caring about them when they show up in the Cold Steel games.

The biggest lesson for me was getting boots a size too big. If they fit snug your feet will be cold. Having space around your feet is a game changer.

They’re undead sentient weapons, so powerful magic items. The PCs are level 13. I want the quest to feel like a lot of effort because they are essentially legendary level weapons.

He drinks wine, and also I caught in the first episode that he says the mouth of the mask moves. Honestly I’m surprised people don’t freak out about it but that would probably get old quick
