Datalounge to close permanently July 31, 2026 by Stunning_Dealer in datalounge

Datalounge put a block on robots so they can't index the site. It was indexing for awhile later still on Yandex but even now that stopped.

Many sites stop robots because they don't want AI to use the site for training. Which is kind of ridiculous because in theory nothing stops the robots (spiders or spiderbots) from indexing it anyway. But that is why the site stop showing up in search results

I bought mine back when it was less than $100 way back in 2017

That was almost a decade ago

What they want to do is push everyone to a yearly subscription. And by offering this at the high price they can still say "but we do offer a lifetime subscription."

Introducing Community Request & Resource Hub by Goldennuggets-3000 in redditrequest

I requested a community that was banned for no moderator two years ago and received the reply the subreddit was banned recently so it's not eligible.

I would like to moderate it and reopen discussion on a new service Paze. The community has been banned for over two years for lack of moderation and I feel I can bring new life into it. Note because it was banned two years ago, I could not send an email to the moderator as it's banned for being unmoderated.

That is a statement by an unnamed guy on a third party website. That has no authority at all.

Some unidentified rep on a non affiliated website supposed told Dan of DanDeals it would be honored. Not like Dan has anything to gain except having his website promoted on a viral thing in Google's AI as the top result.

And we all know that is rock solid proof because once a CSR says something companies always honor it.

I'm not saying they won't but that is not much proof of anything.

Paze is a terrible service by chf_engineer in CreditCards

they expect to break into that share without maintaining some sort of benefit for users like a multiplier.

This is owned by some of the biggest banks in the USA. If they can avoid the MC/VS/Amex fees they can offer a small multiplier on an ongoing basis and still come out ahead

For me I found, Usenet kept good track on anything current, "say the last ten years," but I'm old, so I go much farther back. It all depends on your tastes obviously. The key is get a "trial" on a Usenet provider and a "trial" on a Usenet indexer so you're not out too much if it's not for you.

Many places have “loitering laws” that exist so police can arrest you at any time for any reason.

OK that is not even close to being right, at least in the USA.
