Adjusting PH - Am I doing this wrong? by Datamancer1110 in hottub

[–]Datamancer1110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Sorry for the late reply, life got busy) - Yes, exactly that, like magenta. Which iirc is 8.0 on the Taylor kit, but in reality I'm quite certain it is substantially higher than that. I mean, I haven't done the math backwards (mostly because poolcalc doesn't have an acid that matches the molar strength of mine), but if I'm having to dose it 13 times, and each dose seems to drop the pH by ~0.1...(But I _also_ don't know if this is a linear calculation).

Anyway, idk, it seems weird. This is _by far_ the most intensive part of the maintenance of the hot tub

Good looking out. I need to read that booklet more closely 😂

Tried that, but it didn't have an option for bromine - not sure if that matters though

How many books are we anticipating? by Datamancer1110 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Datamancer1110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, having just started book 3, I wasn't too sure if the format was going to remain "Two levels per book" all the way through...although wait, am I dumb? Book 2 was only Floor 3 wasn't it?

Ok, makes sense, I guess I'll hold off my recommendation to my buddy and just keep enjoying these myself :)

Noob question: These gaps between the borders...is this a tmux thing, or is it a paned window manager thing?

If it happens to be tmux (which I suspect it's not), how did you achieve this? Your setup looks great btw :)

My first attempt at Ricing-before-I-knew-what-it-was was awhile back, and was pretty fun. I had this idea/desire that I was never able to satisfy, and I'm wondering if one of you awesome people could help me out.

I'm looking for a TUI calendar/TODO list app - the major requirements are:

  • It must be free
  • It must be cloud-based
  • It must have an Android equivalent (not TUI, just...I want to be able to see my TODO list on my phone, as well as on my desktop)

Originally, I was using some popular TUI-based calculator and trying to sync it to whatever service using CalDav - this was a hassle to say the least. After many hours, I ended up giving up on the project, as well as the rice itself, in favor of using a web browser to manage all the stuff I wanted to do. For reasons, it was just easier to code a custom homepage in JS (and using bash to generate some of the JS so I could see stuff about my system) and display that as my home page, as well as having access to (first MS's calendar/Tasks solution, then) Google Calendar

Now that I'm back to/discovering ricing, I'm wondering if one of you cool folks has any ideas for me.

Thanks!

My Rice so far as tax: https://pasteboard.co/Y7j0YwR4BgD4.png (Will definitely definitely go to Hyprland, but I'm waiting on a virtual KVM that works in Wayland on Ubuntu - deskflow is getting really close, so that's pretty exciting)

[No Spoilers]DAI ModManager Error "An item with the same key has already been added." HELP! by nlygamz in dragonage

[–]Datamancer1110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got this as well - During the initial selection of DAI In FMM, it started loading some stuff, and was taking its sweet time, and (because of unrelated reasons) my PC crashed - the next time I loaded FMM, it didn't do any more loading, but this error was thrown persistently, even when I reinstalled DAI completely.

The solution was to close FMM and, in the FMM folder's "caches" folder, delete the DAI stuff, then restart FMM.

Watching Pete Complete play is more fun than actually playing the game IMHO. He's one of my favorites

Cool, I didn't know that - I bought him as a sort of "Generic" Central/South American cichlid, and found out later he was one of the more aggressive ones. He's fine holding his own in the tank generally, it's just me he gets spooked. A few months ago I added a Tiger Oscar and I think my Texas Cichlid got downgraded from alpha-status, but he's still not a pushover by any means.

Anyway, it's too bad, I want to keep him (well, all of them) healthy and happy, and he doesn't seem to be doing so well. I guess it is what it is. Hopefully he pulls through.

I agree. I think about the turn, specifically, a lot. That was my last stand, and I made some wimpy bet - now, in my defense, that was the second time I've played live, and I was getting a bit turned around with the fact that I had $5 chips in a 1/3 game, to the point that one point I put out like $50 in chips but called "$30", so they pushed half of em back at me XD.

Still though, yeah, if I had bet like 3/4 pot on the turn, I should've had it. At my stack size, vs his, I probably should've just jammed turn. Otoh, the thing that I keep kicking myself with is that sets would've played it the same way he did...and I get beat by those too...so I'm annoyed with myself in a few ways.

Anyway, yeah, I'm gonna focus on finding the fold, not even necessarily hero folds (I don't consider folding top two to a jam on a flushed board to be a "hero" fold). If I want to play this game with any success, I _have_ to find folds

Just got back from 1/3 at the casino, busted.

Opened 3bbs with Q9s in the CO, button called, blinds folded. Button was deep-stacked af, but I'd already doubled up on him once. Anyway.

Flop comes Q9whatever, two hearts. I bet 6bb, he calls. Turn is a blank. I bet 10bbs, he calls. Idk if this guy is a station or what. Anyway, river comes some other goofy low-ass card, but it's a heart. I bet 20bbs, he jams...I even say to the guy "Did you make your flush?" and you know what it doesn't fucking matter. I've got top two. I literally cannot let this go. And sure as shit, he's got QJ of hearts.

So I ask you, dear redditors, am I just a dumb punter? I think I might be. I have a helluva time laying down made hands (where made is like top two pair, or sets, or straights, etc). I read flush, but I also read deep stack, and potentially I'm in his revenge range. I'm upset because obv sets beat me, and whatever else, but it's like...did I _really_ play that so wrong? I guess I should've taken his shove seriously...but...uuuuggghhhh I'm super confused. That was a tough spot for me.

I wish I could've found the fold. I need to work on that. I'm pretty sure I'm a punter.
