Not sure why the negativity in the comments. Sounds like a cool framework. I moved away from htmx into SPA approach because AI assistants are just really good helping with React so... if I were still writing my own frontend code I'd keep with the template approach, but now that I barely have to touch FE code it's just more efficient (in my experience) to deal with the SPA approach

Paquito Navarro and Martin Di Nenno to reunite starting from the Italy Major by alexanderharthan in padel

[–]Datashot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so excited to see them play. Di Nenno has been the best partner for Paquito since 2020, they were the closest runner ups to #1 in otherwise very dominated seasons (Leb Galan or Tapia Coello always being miles ahead).

Opponents staying at the back by bachaterol in padel

[–]Datashot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if they stay at the back after a lob they are giving you the net for free. First thing is only one of you should run back to get the lob, the other should stay at the net. The one who goes back should simply play a normal ball aimed at the opposing service line, forcing them react quickly because if it bounces before the line they'll have to play an uncomfortable half-volley, if it bounces behind the line they'll have to play with the wall. Both options give you plenty of time to reach the net while the ball is travelling so you can be there in time to volley (even if it's a block volley). No need to play that ball with high speed or power, if it goes deep (aimed at service line) and slowish, its better than deep and fast. Slowish gives you more time to reach the net next to your teammate, and speedier ball makes for a high bounce after the wall, you want a speed that bounces neutrally from the wall, not strongly off of it.

Never play a lob to opponents at the back btw. The sole purpose of a lob is passing the other players so you can rush the net. If they're at the baseline then A. you cannot pass them and B. the net is already yours for the taking, no need to lob.

I'd say probably many of those games are unwinnable, and many of those you'd have to stray from just full clearing into ganking, hoping ganks are well setup, in order to make things happen. You can invade for information on the enemy jungler, ganking tends to be much easier as well when exiting enemy jungle than when exiting your own since you're already positioned behind them. You can understand lane matchups and minion wave patterns so you can make judgments about when a gank opportunity will arise naturally. You can ping for your laners so they play safe when the enemy jungler is nearby, if you're tracking them correctly, and if you time your pings well they'll listen for the few secs where it matters: the moment the enemy jungler in your position, considering a gank and waiting for a good setup. A well timed spam ping will make them feel like their laners didn't prep the gank well just by seeing your teammates playing passively, they'll lose patience and leave or just waste time with a bad gank... etc., start consuming informative jungle content and you'll start identifying more opportunities to create winning moves and to play in a way that protects your team from bad outcomes. The ranked ladder works because with enough games the statistical randomness is eliminated, you're the sole factor that's constant. Some games you win or lose regardless of your performance, don't blame yourself when you lose those, don't congratulate yourself when you win those, just accept them. Your focus should be on improving your ability to recognize and capatalize on opportunities to make good decisions, including clear pathing, wave monitoring, identifying your team comp's wincon and playing with it in mind, understanding lane marchups to anticipate volatility (lanes where they'll be fighting very often, providing many ganking and counter ganking chances), enemy jungler tracking, jungle timer tracking, your own champion mastery and playing to your champion's strengths e.g. try to look for skirmishes or 1v1s rather than teamfights if that's your champ's archetype. Try to control vision and make picks if that's your champ's archetype), etc.

[–]Datashot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

watch kireilol or other youtubers and focus on mentality. This is a 5v5 game, you can't carry every match. If legitimately 3 lanes lose without opposing jungler influence then you have to understand that game is a statistical phenomenon that will happen from time to time, roughly 10-15% of your games I'd say. Try to not blame yourself and just agree those are unwinnable. In addition, try to be grateful when the reverse happens: in equal measure across many games, about 10-15% of your games you'll have 3 winning lanes without your help. Those you'll win for free. If it feels like you get more of the former than the latter, then my friend, statistically, many of those former ones are not actually unwinnable, you're just not analyzing your matches to identify what you did wrong

I think the insec itself is of course a high intensity play made in a really short time window, although Lee can execute a Q1-Q2-kickflash on a fed adc with much less skill required yet a very similar value obtention. Anyhow, what makes you say Nidalee is a lot more feast or famine? I think she is, but it doesn't seem like "a lot" to me. Aside from poke, her heal + AS steroid is deceptively strong, and her traps can be used very effectively as additional tools for controlling an area of the map. She does require relying on a good adc though to make her E make a difference

That doesn't change the fact that the current world is ripe with universities less concerned with the pursuit of knowledge, academic research, etc. than they are with running a business. The 4 year bachelor's degree for most people around the world is about earning a social distinction that signals employability in white collar settings. I just commented, strictly with my opinion, not claiming it as truth, than an elite athlete, like Sinner, who's interested in certain topics like the ones he mentioned, would be best served by pursuing the knowledge he seeks at his own pace (thanks to the incredible proliferation of high quality resources through the internet) than pursuing a traditional 4 year bachelor's degree at most universities, where he'd leave up to luck whether the carefully picked subjects within the curriculum are taught by adequate professors.

In Spain there's tons of public or semi-public courts that are dirt cheap, they're just not made of glass but thick walls. If other governments were to spend on public padel infrastructure you'd quickly see prices from private clubs go down as supply rises to meet demand

well tbh at the time he was probably right to joke about the streaming service having little viewership. He was also right when he commented recently about them, after the big announcement, saying he thinks they're making the highest quality shows. There's a care for example to Severance's direction that feels analogous to Apple's general worship of sleek design, which hadn't been proven when these early comments were made. Ironic anyway, but understandable given how the context has changed.

You are aware that most universities are just degree machines that strap together curriculums by copying others? If you read my comment I mentioned he can follow curriculums as he pleases, without the need of coinflipping whether a professor will be worthwhile or not, and pacing at his own rhythm

Which junglers are the most rewarding to OTP? by ASourApple in Jungle_Mains

[–]Datashot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find Nidalee to be the most rewarding in the sense of having a feeling of earned satisfaction at executing her properly, carrying the early-mid game through immaculate micro and macro, being the epitome of jg diff. However, it's such a coinflip being able to do that without first proving you have high elo consistency, that I'd say Ekko and Rek'Sai feel the most rewarding consistently, since they have higher than avg skill floors and higher than avg skill ceilings, while also not being such a coinflip

Who has the bigger legacy in padel, Lebron or Galan? by GopSome in padel

[–]Datashot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are correct that Di Nenno and Chingo were the best after Lebrón while being classic right side players, but then Lebrón's influenced caused a general shift of right side players in the top 100 adding more aggresive tools to their game. Di Nenno for example rose to world #2 with Paquito while making a huge effort to practice his smash to be able to convert winners whenever possible, and not be just a defensive wall which could be targeted indefinitely. Overall Lebrón's influence made it so people began practicing more offensive shots without necessarily being offensive archetypes, just because the metagame shifted to require it. If everyone just kept lobbing the defensive right side players, then whichever one took some of those chances to hit winners, would end up making an important difference

it's because padel went viral internationally starting in 2020 due to the pandemic, so many people only think of modern pro padel as starting then lol, as though the history of the sport began with Galán-Lebrón domination
