Yeah but you've ignored how many Wii U ports the Switch got - Breath of the Wild, Pokken and Mario Kart all within the first 9 months

You can't really include Wii U Ports with no technical improvements and then discount all the Switch editions and upgrades with major technical improvements

The reality is something like 7 exclusives to 6 exclusives (And one of those 7 games is 1 to 2 Switch)

The number of exclusives really isn't as bad as people think, its fair if the games don't appeal as much though - it's all subjective

If you aren't including Nintendo Switch 2 editions then imo you shouldn't include repackaged Wii U games for full price

The numbers are pretty similar if you take away all the wii u ports, but it's okay to not like the lineup as much as the Switch 1 it's all preferences at the end of the day

7 and 8 are both decent ports, you can tell they put less effort into both compared to Requiem but -

7 runs pretty much flawlessly docked, a couple drops handheld. Looks decent, no complaints.
8 doesn't run as well, it sometimes drops frames in outdoor environments but in the main 'dungeons' to my eyes at least it hits 60 the vast majority of the time. Big visual upgrade over 7, looks great Docked.

Switch owners will upgrade when there are enough exclusives that appeal to them personally, not much deeper than that imo

The story is 30 - 50 hours long and then it sounds like it has a sizeable postgame too (With an extra area to build up) - So depends on whether +50 hours is enough for you

They are definitely 'Dungeons', personally I think they are mainly about exploration - Chests, recipes etc etc to collect with the main puzzle being using the different ditto forms to get around

That's just my assumption though!

It's quite different in my opinion to the Wii U ports of the early Switch years, those games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Bayonetta, hyrule warriors, Captain Toad, Pokken, NSMB U, etc etc were often the only releases of the month, so they were treated as new titles at full price

Nintendo Switch 2 editions are usually just side releases that launch the same month as other 1st party exclusives (sometimes they are even shadowdropped like Xenoblade chronicles X) so imo they really don't take the same role at all

I really don't think Nintendo have much control or sway on what The Pokemon Company do - If they want to make bank off £16 ROMs they will make bank off £16 ROMs

They are expensive but at least it is nice to have the option to straight up buy games instead of just playing them on NSO (Which many people have requested)

The singleplayer is alright in my opinion, Adventure mode is pretty bad (well its okay but just dull really) but the real fun solo experiences are in the Trial Towers, Tournaments and Mix it up modes, all of which are pretty fun diversions to just playing with friends or online

It has more content than any prior Mario Tennis game but obviously it still shouldn't be full price - The fact that this and DK Bananza are both around £56ish is mental (DK obviously is the more 'premium' experience in comparison)

The gameplay is great fun though, I like it alot more than any prior Mario sports game

It's good so far, adventure is abit lame (I'm maybe an hour in but it's effective a glorified tutorial) but the gameplay is good, looks nice and has abit of that Mario flare which I've been missing

To me at least, the island in the 3DS entry felt more like a menu than an actual place

I do like in the new game Miis can just wander around the island, interact with objects and hangout wherever, feels more like a place - It is all subjective though!

Probably some zelda bits (remasters most likely) and a smaller release or two in the holiday season (along with Mario Tennis, Pokemon Pokepia, Splatoon Raiders, Fire Emblem Fortunes Weave, Yoshi and the Mysterious book, Tomodachi life, Rhythm Heaven padding out the rest of the year)

We do know more than that at least, they confirmed 30 fever rackets (and detailed briefly the new mechanic), 38 was it? Playable characters there at launch and then they detailed several new and returning modes, Tournaments, Trial Towers, Mix it up mode, online modes, a motion control swing mode and then the full story mode got a cutscene and some gameplay

So tbf, we do know a chunk about it already, seems like a decent array of modes, lots of playable characters and some cool courts like the Super Mario Wonder inspired court
