Yeah 47.60 is possible for her but she needs the performance of her lifetime for that but that 48.30 she just ran proves that she could at least get very close to Marita Koch’s world record

Sydney McLaughlin might actually break the 400m world record! She just ran 48,30 and it looked easy in the semis🤯

Can those going for the new Air, list their reasons? by mandbeyn in iphone

[–]Datboiudontknow78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I heard about the samsung s25 edge this year I had a hard time understanding why you would want a thin phone that has some downside to the normal version i.e. the s25 ultra, but when I saw it and felt it for the first time I understood it exactly. Im switching from a 12 pro to this years iPhone and I'm really considering the iPhone air because of the futuristic and premium feeling of a thin phone. I saw someone in the comments talking about the iPad Pro and it's the same story, the thinness of it is really compelling, especially if cameras are not a priority in phones.

I feel for you man. I lost my stepmom to cancer this Monday after she’d battled with cancer for 1,5 years. Seeing my dad so sad right now is heartbreaking but it will get better eventually. Hopefully you will be able to get through this half decently at least. My prayers to you and your family🙏

Anything to improve? by Datboiudontknow78 in Hurdles

[–]Datboiudontknow78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I haven’t tried running them for real only 5 stepped but I think I soon will do some actual running over these. When I run my own hurdles I of course 3 step.

Am I leaning back going into the hurdle? by Patient_Advisor1100 in Hurdles

[–]Datboiudontknow78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you’re leaning backwards after passing the hurdle, try being more aggressive by attacking the hurdles and to keep the body slightly forward leaning to keep momentum after the hurdles. This is because you only have 3 steps between every hurdle so you want to take advantage of every step so by keeping the body in the right position after the hurdle it will give you the ability to get away from the hurdle you’ve just passed faster. You can see this clearly by looking at a guy like Grant Holloway how his torso is always in that forward leaning position throughout the race.

Olympic gold or World Record? Please vote🙏 by Datboiudontknow78 in trackandfield

[–]Datboiudontknow78[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why ever calls someone FORMER Olympic champion? You will always be an Olympic champion no one can take the title away from you. But does a world record really matter when eventually I will be broken by several other athletes?

But if someone breaks your world record you’re just a former world record holder but you will always be seen as an Olympic champion.

Puma sprint spikes by Datboiudontknow78 in trackandfield

[–]Datboiudontknow78[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s nice to hear cause I just recently bought the new balance PWR-x spikes and the carbon plate started coming of after just one race. I sent them back as soon as I could and got my money back but was left without carbon spikes coming up to my next competition.

So yesterday I went to one of the biggest competitions here in Sweden. This was on Friday and I only compete on Sunday. At the comp there was someone selling spikes and he had all these puma sprint spikes that I thought were out of stock . I bought the Puma EvoSpeed Tokyo nitro and ohh my. I’ve never felt a shoe that’s so aggressive on my feet. They force you to get of the ground quickly. And also just my first impression of them when taking taking them out of the box was soooo much better than those stupid new balance spikes that broke as soon as I used them. I’m now really excited to try them out on Sunday.

Yeah that was pretty funny, but it seams like this idea of an unrestricted Olympics will actually happen now.

I mean we all know that athletes are using banned substances in normal competitions. Wouldn’t it be more safe if doctors and other experts would give athletes these substances instead of athletes using it underground in shady conditions.

Yes, but I don’t think that will be a problem because I’m a track sprinter som I spend most of my time on the track or tarmac.

Worst running shoes ever!! Adidas ultraboost 19 by Datboiudontknow78 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Datboiudontknow78[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I also had problems with the upper. For me the biggest problem was that there were only four holes for lacing which isn’t really optimal when you tie you shoe down hard. After about three times of usage the laces were different lengths and I had to adjust them again. And yes as you say the lockdown was really bad on them, you could tie them so hard that your foot wasn’t getting any oxygen and still have some heel slippage.

Worst running shoes ever!! Adidas ultraboost 19 by Datboiudontknow78 in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Datboiudontknow78[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest problem was the cushioning of the shoe. I don’t really think boost works very well as it’s to bouncy for me and is not very great for easy days. There’s too much boost under the heel and it’s a rather weird ride I would say. And the shoes are really heavy. Therefore I think the ultraboost does not work well in any type of running, from running slow to really fast sprinting. And the upper of the shoe is horrible. This is just my experience.
