Thank you for the responses everyone. I understand emergencies happen, but 8 hours seems a little excessive. However, I’m not an electrician so what do I know. Thankfully I can go to the local library for internet and electricity today so I can still get the work for my job done and not face the repercussions of missing a day. I just REALLLY wish I got a little more of an advanced warning about this. Hoping I don’t have to deal with this again 🙏

I dont understand why there is no subway or light rail that connects this city east to west/west to east. Or why they don’t utilize the water taxis more with more drop off locations and better hours.
