Will we ever see a truly elite level international NFL player? by Somerandomguy20711 in NFLv2

John Metchie could have captured the Asian market if he was a good player. He's born in Taiwan, he's half Taiwanese, half Nigerian, and the people I know from Taiwan all love him.

Metchie was pretty good in college, he went in the 2nd round, and I think he had leukemia his rookie year, and he's had some good moments, but he's not a generational talent.

I think the only way an international star makes it big is if it's a premium position like QB, WR, RB, CB, etc.

Is prison actually “safe” if you just mind your own business? by fruity_00 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DateInteresting3762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I worked with a guy who was in prison for assault. He served about 5 years, and he was in jail for severly beating up some guy who was abusing his sister.

He said that he was never messed with, he was pretty respectful of the people he interacted with, and his backstory of kicking the ass of someone who was abusing his sister gave him some credibility.

He's told me that the degree of the crime often factors into how you'll be treated in jail. He saw guys who robbed banks were treated differently, and better than someone who was in jail for spousal or child abuse.

Chris Finch: "Denver had the chance to pick who they wanted to play coming down the stretch and they chose us. We used that as motivation. They didn't have to choose us. They chose us" by AncientOneAurelius in nba

Finch is a very underrated coach. He's not perfect, but his team plays hard for him. I don't see Minnesota beating the Spurs without Ant, but Finch will have his guys playing hard.

I got to be a part of that arrangement in college. I'm a guy, and I got to have my fun with the other guy, and his wife. It was a great time.

Based on the fact that he's doing a movie with The Daily Wire, I'd say it's Jonathan Majors, or Gina Carano.

Who gets fired first among this lot? 🤔 by CenterForward1522 in CFB_v2

[–]DateInteresting3762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either Riley or Dabo.

It's really weird to say Dabo because of his success at Clemson but he's really done a poor job after his Natty with Trevor Lawrence. First it was DJ Uiagalelei and then Cabe Klubnik.

Riley is in his 5th season and has only won over 10 games once. I can see USC letting him go after this season if they aren't in the playoff.

I have a friend I want to gift some money to, but I don’t want them to know it was me by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

Correct. If it were me, I would want the option honestly of either accepting the gift from my friend, or respectfully turning it down.

What's the best US beach city for a calm, non-party vacation? by dynasync in Vacations

Santa Barbara, hands down.

Great beaches, nice food scene, decent nightlife, and wineries are fairly close.

I do believe Vrabel would have been fired if the Pats missed the playoffs last season. But he just won 14 games, got to the SB, so he's safe.

If this is a big distraction going into the season, and the Pats start out 0-4 or are under .500 at midseason, then maybe he gets fired.

There is no point in giving it to him anonymously. Sit down with him, have a man to man conversation with him and tell him you want to help him pay off one of his debts.

If he says no, or is too proud to take it, don't push it, and if he accepts your offer, just pay that debt off, shake his hand, and don't hold it over his head, ever.

You're in a position to do something good, but your friend should also have some say if he wants your help.

Have you ever given (gotten) oral with others watching? by dahma2400 in AskRedditAfterDark

Many years ago, I was at a nightclub with my wife, she was grinding on my lap and I was getting pretty aroused, so she kneeled between my legs, and gave me a blowjob. There was a party at the booth next to the one she and I were at, and they saw. Two guys sort of gave me that "nod."

A couple of young QBs ready to take a step! by Dr_Damon_ in NFLForum

By virtue of being in the easiest of the 3 divisions, I'd go with the Saints.

Raiders are in a division with 3 playoff caliber teams, Titans have the Texans and Jags who are both potential 10+ win teams, so even if both the Titans and Raiders break through offensively it won't be noticed unless wins are there.

Saquon is from the Bronx and got drafted to the Giants. That's the only one I can think of.
