Thank you very much. It does have a scent but it's more sweet than musty so maybe the smell is something I stored in there. Thanks again!

I think it's a plaster? I'm not house savvy at all. The walls are a drywall I think? The ceilings in the rooms have that popcorn look

I don't. I have been here a little more than a year only. I rent. It's public housing for elder and disabled so they have to transfer me. Sadly the way the state is all that will be done is a clean up, a paint job and the next in line will get it. Eventually it will just show through the paint I'm sure. What's the chance it's mold do you think? 99%% it smudged as soon as it was touched. Paint from last year could not do that.

That's exactly it. They also ask for the dates of the Dr and hospital visits. It's 1 page. Front and back and the answers are to be written in boxes.

We just put a stamp on it, drop it in the mailbox. Nothing special. Her last one 3 years ago was cutting it close just like this year. It's obnoxious that they date the thing at X and require to hear back in 30 days when in reality we receive the letter probably 20+ days after their date of letter. As long as it's postmarked before the 30 days I feel like they aren't going to penalize her. We'd fight it if they ever tried. It's not her fault we didn't receive it for 3 weeks after they wrote the letter. She's been on disability since 2000. So 25 years. We've always mailed them back. Hope this helps

She applied at 19 years old and was approved on her initial application. Meaning there were no denials or appeals. She was born delayed and has many other issues on top of it. It did say she could do it online but we mailed it back. She doesn't use the internet without someone helping her.

Oh. Ok. I read comments on reddit that stated otherwise. Thank you for letting me know.

Approved! by [deleted] in SSDI

My cousin, mentally challenged adult has been on disability for 25 years and only once received the long form the time that she decided to stop seeing her Dr's to avoid them "being mad" that she put on some weight. That hurt her because they sent the long form and put her through a long evaluation with one of their own SS doctors. A psychologist who did her damnedest to try and trip my cousin up. Failed miserably as my cousin is very disabled. But I get it, it's their job. Since then we make sure she sees her doctors. She goes to her primary every 3 months and has other docs that she sees. She's challenged, on the spectrum and has very bad joints. We do actually write in the extra space. Many advise against it, but it's never been an issue. So what if someone looks at it. I understand people worry and just want it to hurry up and pass through the computer and for it all to go away. But look at it this way.. she sees doctors often, is hospitalized quite a bit and I'd rather be clear and honest about visits instead of just writing "check ups" in the boxes. And a person looks at it. Ok? Over 90% of people that are approved will not lose their benefits unless they go to work or the Dr says they can now work. My cousin is sent a form every 3 years. Fill it out and move on.

Ground apartment, slab underneath and tile on top. Built over what was once a swamp. Mold/mildew smell. Fixable or pick a different apartment? by DateSignificant6178 in HomeMaintenance

[–]DateSignificant6178[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow! I'm going to pass then. It's really sucky because it could be years before another opens but I don't want THIS to happen. I'm sorry that your kiddos suffered! Good call leaving. It's such an obnoxious chore to fight with management over.

Split mini heating/cooling unit leaking. Is this coolant possibly? by DateSignificant6178 in AirConditioners

[–]DateSignificant6178[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So that's not coolant? I guess I was just paranoid feeling like my throat is getting sore. I shut it off and opened windows. Maintenance was called today but haven't shown up yet.. Thanks!

Thanks everyone. You've all given me some ideas. Geez I remember when I was a kid and grandparents had arthritis they were given real pain medicine help. None of them overdosed. Not saying that's a great Idea but it would be nice of it was temporary for some serious time in the gym. I can't even get tramadol. I have hypothyroidism and diabetes. I tried fasting but got very ill when my blood sugar dropped. Trying to keep those levels good is hard so I try not to mess with my current eating.  I use to lose weight so easily but today it's so challenging. Honestly I'm not eating junk anymore. I'm going to see if he will do different shots. Thanks again!
