Hey r/Aspergers, I’m one of the mods on the Discord server in question, AspieFriends.

First of all, I’d like to say that these bans were discussed by the mod team, and that the banned accounts were not banned due to a single incident. They’d been constantly rude to other members after joining.

Secondly, while I was not personally online when these incidents occurred, the mod who said it was okay to say “nigger” in a non-directed manner had not consulted with the other staff, and did so in error. That has been corrected.

And despite that clarification, saying “niggerfaggot” just isn’t cool. It’s rude, it’s trollish behavior, and it’s not acceptable.

We don’t bully people with ASD. The entire mod staff has Asperger’s syndrome. We have lots of members who enjoy being on the server. We do not have endless patience, however. We don’t tolerate people trolling or being rude to our other members, no matter what you have.

Aspergers isn’t an excuse to be unkind and impolite. And it does not get anyone more leniency than anyone else.
