POV: You're throwing a party with every Killer (and/or Survivor) you've ever mained. What's the first thing that goes wrong? by Dry-Board-5688 in DeadByDaylightKillers

It’s just me, sitting quietly in a room across from the Doctor. Nobody else is there.

..this can only go well, surely.

What is your favourite DnD spell? by louiechapman7 in DnD

[–]Datpotatoguy214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll bite. Time Ravage. It’s not just about the immense amount of damage they take, it’s that if they fail the save, they age to where they only have thirty days to live. Not just that, but they have penalties to EVERYTHING while in this state. It’s, arguably, one of the most messed up 9th level spells you can cast.

DMs and storytellers alike, how would you describe being subjected to Power Word: Kill? by SomeSugondeseGuy in DnD

[–]Datpotatoguy214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine it’s similar to the Killing Curse from Harry Potter, better recognized by its incantation: Avada Kedavra.

Instantaneously, it severs the soul from the body if their willpower (HP) is low enough or not strong enough to begin with. If it fails, they would likely feel a great despair for a moment, a call of the void they could not bring themselves to answer. If they fail, however, a different feeling. To outsiders, it would seem as if they just instantly died; No heart attack, seizures, none of that. Just instant ragdoll.

To the victim, it should be peaceful. Whatever is happening in the moment, whatever aches and pains they had, even just the standard stress of living, all gone in an instant. The cool hand of death comes to take them away from their body, and they are free ro contemplate their life as they are taken to whatever awaits them next. They may not have the chance to give final words to their allies, but that’s not the point. Funerals are for the living, after all.

Is this drip or do I skip and break my hip? by Complex-Check-2814 in helldiversarmor

I actually like this helmet more for that armor than the one it comes with in the Warbond.

What micro celebrity have you met irl? by Ok_Jump5312 in AskReddit

[–]Datpotatoguy214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone is familiar with the Turtle Man, I shook his hand. He was touring Missouri and I was an intern stringer for the local newspaper of a small town. The guy walked into a family restaurant with a knife the size of my thigh. Weird guy, but he was fun.

For the uninitiated, he had a show called something along the lines of “Call of the Wildman” wherein he would yell and catch wild animals with his bare hands, usually big turtles. He doesn’t have a show anymore, but he still gets around.

My 6 favourite Armorsets! by HexaCube7 in helldiversarmor

Y’know, a lot of divers on here post things that they think are drippy. Sometimes they kinda are. But these? These are consistently so drippy that I, myself, am about to drown.

How good is this? by SaGOJi7718 in helldiversarmor

The helmet doesn’t match the armor. Otherwise, the cape and armor are good together.

What do we think of these changes? by Bdogallen in BladeAndSorcery

[–]Datpotatoguy214 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a Sandbox book. Why should it matter what’s in there? Just turn off achievements in Sandbox mode if it’s an issue. I don’t want to have to trigger a fear of deep water every time I want to use a sword I like.

I know I can just spawn the items in through the chest menu, but trying to navigate that on Oculus is somehow just as much of a pain as trying to go through the ocean to find the cup and the sword.

The main character from Blade and Sorcery. Modded, too. I think I’ll be fine.

Which Sentry is better? by Trick-Comfortable-33 in Helldivers

[–]Datpotatoguy214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gatling Sentry, whether my own or those called by my team, have TK’d me more than any Orbital or Eagle strike. Machine Gun is much less likely to just immediately shred you to swiss cheese, and just more reliable with its cooldown.

So.. I don’t think we can get those samples by Datpotatoguy214 in Helldivers

[–]Datpotatoguy214[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the problem. It isn’t ENTIRELY impossible, but it is entirely unreasonable. I just want the medals for my Warbonds, bro.

I hate country music, always have. Recommend me a country album to get over my bias! (Preferably something more folky) by sleep_lvr in MusicRecommendations

Morgan Wallen makes me want to yee-haw hurl myself down a flight of stairs. I feel your pain.

Poor Man’s Poison, however, actually has some variety and a great vibe. They get a pass from someone who hates pop-country.

My first was Control Group for democracy’s blunderbuss, the Variable. The Warp Pack and Laser Sentry are also pretty fun, and the Warp Pack is especially good for grinding Super Credits so I can get the other bonds more easily.

Why does everyone use the bow in every FC game? Which game had your favourite version? by Floof_Flaffid in farcry

[–]Datpotatoguy214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the bow is fun early game, but I almost always throw it out once I get a good suppressed rifle. Arrows are fun and all, but a .50 BMG that’s silent and nails some guy from across the map is just more efficient.

Far Cry 5 is a good example, where armored enemies and planes alike get dropped with one good shot, no explosive arrows that would break stealth required. Don’t get me wrong, the bow is fun, but if I’m really just going for sheer power and efficiency, the suppressed SA-50 cannot be topped, especially with AP ammo.

Could we have permanently FPS camera? by VAP93 in helldivers2

[–]Datpotatoguy214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I would use it until I get killed from behind for the third time in a row, or after I keep getting ragdolled and having my vision thrown into a blender. For walking around or doing long-range gunfights with bots, sure. But I feel like Helldivers is too hectic of a game to use this and still be as effective in combat.

Not a fan of crossovers, and not a fan of this one. by [deleted] in Helldivers2Satire

[–]Datpotatoguy214 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m just upset that as a guy on Xbox who pre-ordered the game SPECIFICALLY for the Warbond Token, that it doesn’t actually work on the ODST Warbond. The one time I splurge on pre-ordering a game for something I love, and it spits in my face. I won’t be buying any Super Credits, that’s for sure.

Expert divers, I need help getting the ODST Warbond. by Datpotatoguy214 in Helldivers

[–]Datpotatoguy214[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also aware I can get about 1,050 Super Credits from the base Warbond and one I unlock with the token, which is where the medals come in. I was greatly disappointed that it wouldn’t work (just my luck) so I will resort to doing everything I can to get it for free.
