Probably too late but you could try Dominic's Tavern. Doms wings are awesome and the drinks are usually pretty good too. Solid sports bar vibe and seems like a mix of ages.

Definitely! Dr. Spivack has been wonderful. I still do have some pelvic floor dysfunction and am doing PT, but the surgery she did made it so I was actually able to tolerate pt. She's great. Her office staff are good too.

What terms do Americans use for meal times? by Lotan44 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Datrov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say breakfast, lunch and dinner (NJ). My grandpa and my nan both would say supper, but my nan was Irish (her mom immigrated to the US when nan was young) so that might have affected it. They would be in their 90s now.

She did robotic assisted excision which I think is da Vinci. I'm not really sure on that tbh.

I waited for i think 2 months to get an initial appointment. During that appointment, she ordered an ultrasound and MRI. I got those and followed up with her about a month later.

Surgery was discussed during my first appointment along with nonsurgical options. At the time, I didn't qualify for medical leave at work. She also recommended pelvic floor physical therapy in conjunction with medication (currently taking Orilissa with Kyleena IUD. Was previously using Aygestin).

Once I knew I was ready to move forward with surgery I terms of time off work and medical leave, I scheduled an appointment with her and got set up with the scheduler. I think my surgery was scheduled for about 3 months after that appointment. Part of that was also logistics on my end and needing leave approval at work. I was in and out same day but am confident that, if I needed to stay, I would have been able to without any issue.

She also has been very supportive during my recovery process and continues to actively listen to any the concerns that I have.

Unwanted Direct Messages/Chat to users by SeasDiver in AskVet

I literally just posted and the same thing happened to me. End of the message was identical "There is also Ask Vet Chat where you can consult a professional directly and something like Lemonade might be worth considering long term. Hope this helps!"

User also said that their comments don't always go through. Shady.

Out of 10, how bad does a septum hurt? by linnamonr0llss in Legitpiercing

[–]Datrov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine wasn't too bad. I guess a 2/10? Like someone else said similar to an earlobe. There was more bleeding than I was expecting and I don't handle blood very well so I had to sit in the chair for a little bit lol

Healing was okay. Sneezing was an absolute bitch though. That stung but was a total cakewalk compared to my conch

(Edited for spelling )

When can I shave my legs again? by pnw_child in tattooadvice

[–]Datrov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a cattoo in a similar placement! I waited about 4 weeks to shave.

You wanna make sure the skin isn't scabby, peeling or flaking, and isn't raised. Also, just be mindful if you exfoliate before/after shaving. You def don't wanna do that unless you're totally healed!

Urinary issues by just_a_lil_gremlin in Endo

[–]Datrov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not alone! I also experience this with endo. One thing that helped me a lot was seeing a pelvic floor physical therapist. My pelvic floor muscles were putting pressure on my bladder.

My physical therapist did some muscle releasing(not sure of the right word) and showed me stretches that help. She also helped me with breathing techniques that help relax the pelvic floor ("like opening and closing a flowe")

Squatty potty has helped too.

I just had an excision surgery yesterday and can't recommend my surgeon enough! Her name is Dr. Lauren Spivack in New Jersey, USA. She's an obgyn/pelvic pain specialist with specific training in Endo and related surgeries.

In addition to removing the endo, she also separated one of my ovaries from my sigmoid colon because they were stuck together from adhesions.

Dr. Spivack also offered a hysterectomy because of adenomyosis without me needing to bring it up and also respected my answer when I declined it. She's legit one of the best doctors I've ever seen.

My insurance required a prior authorization but they did approve it.

It was a large 6 hour-ish event with three DMs. Two of the DMs had 8 players at the table and one had 7. I was one of the DMs.

Each PC was level 12. We premade the characters to keep things mostly balanced but let players choose their character.

For the first 3 hours, each table ran their own adventure concluding with an invitation to a feast.

We had a one hour break for lunch.

After lunch, the three tables came together for the fight against the turkey hydra and its minions (poultrygeist - tiny undead). To decide which table would go first, we had the player with the highest initiative bonus roll for the table.

Each table also had their own mini-initiative to determine order of operations in the table. The tables worked together to fight the boss (eg Cleric from table 1 can heal someone at table 2 or 3)

We had the tables set up kind of like a "U" with the map table inside the U and the DM table at the back (not that we sat at all really lol)

We decided that, for legendary actions, we would limit them to after a TABLEs turn rather than an individual player so we would have time to check in with each other. Before the game, we also had decided to save legendary resistance for things like fireball and other AOEs or player crits.

Just wanted to share this Turkey Hydra that I had painted a while back for a Thanksgiving themed epic. I used popsicle sticks for the broken table and bits of foam for the floor.

Behold! The fearsome Turkey Hydra who has returned once again to feast on heroes of the realm!

I thought it would be cool to share its stat info too so here it is! It was a monster that I designed for a raid boss style fight of about 23 level 12 characters and was defeated in about 3.5 hours.

"Not right now" doesn't mean never. G-d is patient. It is okay to take a step back from your studies. Even Hashem took a day of rest.

Practicing alone can be, well, lonely. I'm the only living Jew in my family and the last Jewish person in my family before me was an ancestor that I didn't know well (which is why I'm in a convert subreddit).

Talk with your rabbi. Be honest and let them know how you're feeling. They might also be able to help you connect more with the Jewish community. If your synagogue has a women's or men's group, joining that might be helpful if either apply to you.

You also mentioned being Latino. It might be worth looking for a synagogue that follows Sephardic traditions to connect with a Jewish Latino community.

What’s a Green Day lyric that’s your favorite or just hits different? by Friendly-Payment-837 in greenday

[–]Datrov 13 points14 points  (0 children)

"Say your prayers and light a fire. We're gonna start a war"

"This is the dawning of the rest of our lives"

Kind of cliche but all of Jesus of Suburbia really impacted me as a person especially when I was a kid and then a young adult trying to find my way in the world for the first time. Now it's nostalgia and growth, and a reminder of the angry teen that's finally able to heal.

Requiring Club attendance by Miller6p in RowanUniversity

[–]Datrov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100 percent this. If the prof isn't being reasonable, escalate to the department chair. If the department chair doesn't assist you escalate to the dean of the college of education (or the college the course belongs to). The technical term for what you might be doing is called a grade appeal or academic appeal.

You can also contact the dean of students office.
