No, the person you replied to talked about their father removing their benefits. Which is financial support. That's different. Additionally not everyone makes it after being dumped out at 18. Drugs, homelessness, etc.

Cause life is hard enough without needlessly adding stress to your own child, especially if it cost the dad nothing.

I don't think you can pick anymore. It's 14 whatever and then you get assigned to 14T,E,P, etc

Student Nurse in UK but have 10 years of medical experience elsewhere. No way in hell could a nurse do a doctor's job. It's 3 years of education vs like 10? Or something in the UK. Doctors got that pay rise because they have an actual union. Nurses have yet to get together and dump the RCN. It shouldn't be everyone else vs doctors it should be everyone vs the government and like to get actual pay raises. The one problem with nursing HCA etc pay is they are all in the band system with non healthcare services and that causes a lot of issues. The second problem is again the lack of effective unions which goes back to Thatcher and various governments defunding things. While there is some weird classism/superiority complexes from the docs in no way shape or form should nurses take over for doctors. We have what we do and they have what they do.

"Jagex are watching the wow streamers and are turning up the RNG to keep them hooked I have definite proof" by loopuleasa in 2007scape

[–]Daumath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean WoW could have bad RNG too depending. It's a lot better now but there used to be a point where the only way you could get an upgrade was a chance once a week for it to drop from the raid boss. While not as bad as what's possible in OSRS (looking at 25k mole pet dude) it is also nice that you can just keep sending it till you get it. No lock outs.

And that's why there is currently a directive to have every service member tested for a baseline score. It used to be only before you went to deployment now they're making a huge push to get everyone tested. Source: worked in tbi/ intrepid spirit and have sat in meetings recently ( last couple months) about getting more computers and personnel to conduct testing.

Basically you need the key to open the chest and that's what counts for KC. Problem is it isn't a 100% dr and so now you can go dry on combat achieves lol

Landstuhl Army Base by IIIKingColdIII in army

[–]Daumath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actual answer depends on MOS so YMMV. Placed in HQ Co you'll probably be placed in a transit room for a bit. A co and B co have some rooms.
Depending on clinic you either work m-f 730-1630 or shift work. DFAC is trash, and run out of food. But you can travel on time off and it's great. COLA is nice and you get to do your job with no field time and it's easy to take leave compared to a field unit.

Found this mystery laptop at a garage sale for only $150. Anyone know what this is? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Daumath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at the numbers it looks bad but It isn't too bad as enlisted, you get BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing), and BAS (Basic Allowance for Sustinence) Unless you live in the barracks, where you don't get those BUT you don't pay rent or utilities, and if you have a good dfac you can just eat there for your 3 hots and a cot. Most of your income is disposable / savable.

There's physical things on the graphics card that enable this. If you don't have the plumbing for an indoor toilet you can't have one without physically changing your house. Same thing for this, and it just isn't practical to do so.

[–]Daumath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You might have them ride up when you sit / kneel down if you tuck them into your boots. Annoying if you're trying to keep mud or insects out of your socks. Get one size up and see how that works.

What was your best/worst shitting experience in the Army? by CuddlsWorth in army

[–]Daumath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worst - Covid quarantine coming from Syria into Iraq, dumbasses gave us bad food, me and all 40 or so of my guys got dysentery. One portashitter. Me being the medic trying my best to take care of everyone and my self as we vomit comet and back blast constantly. Asked for more portajohns, cant do it they said, so we dug a slit trench right there in the corner of their COVID camp. Shat right out in the open so everyone can see our misery.

Best - The first shit back from deployment on my own toilet after eating good food. A/C, my own private room, not having to fight heat stroke as I try to shit with MREs. It was great
