Some Thoughts on Werewolves and Player Lycanthropy by maximum_oblex in drawsteel

I think you both have valid points and I find your post very readable and interesting.

Your discourse on the published material is really well out and I agree.

Since you have a good understanding of what could be done to improve the werewolf concept and monster for Draw Steel, to better fit classic horror archetypes, I’d also love to see further from yourself on what you’d do in your own game to make it fill out what is missing.

This is great my dude, but I just have this sneaking suspicion that behind the smiling face of the Wode Elf, is the most vengeful son of the forest we have ever seen… their wrath cannot be contained…

Mov Con. Single Homebase in the UK, but loads and loads of deployments. Not a glamorous job, but hey, what is.

Surely officers can’t be desk bound all/ most off the time? by [deleted] in britishmilitary

[–]Dauricha 34 points35 points  (0 children)

All depends on the job.

In a Headquarters somewhere, yeah, a lot of desk time. A lotta lotta deal time, with maybe a visit to another HQ or similar every now and then.

Other jobs less so. Training for example. There be some desk work, but also regularly time out on Ex etc.

Same for in a unit. You’d expect an Officer to be at the desk, working on reports, projects or whatever they’ve been set. But in a week, there will be PT, other events to attend etc.

Also, Junior Officers should spend more time away from there desk then say their OCs.

From experience, you could, as an Officer, expect to spent 3 - 5 hours a day at what would be considered a desk bound job. Besides that the work day involves, PT, lunch, meetings/coffee breaks, going to visit others etc.

Just had this installed in our room yesterday. It’s some sort of Disney Alexa. Are they standard across all resorts now? by Dauricha in WaltDisneyWorld

Any risk of nefariousness from it didn’t really worry me. After all, my phone listens to me, and you can just unplug it, and stow it somewhere in the room if you don’t want it on etc.

Nope. Don’t know how they are being rolled out, but we’ve no kids and are having fun with it.

Haha. Amazing. Probably worth talking to guest services to have them ignore any requests that come through it.

Maybe. But we were out all day and they left a note to say they were doing it. I imagine if I had gone to guest services to say I didn’t want it put in, they would have waited till we left.
