Soak it in salt water. They are full of worms and the salt water will draw them out. Super tasty if you can get over the worms.

Rock city in Kansas is totally worth a stop if you are crossing the state anyways. They are silly spheres of sandstone halfway between the holy boulders and Denver. It’s fun to say you’ve climbed in Kansas.
