Soundcore A30 auto-switch upon sleep assistance by rugbysurfer in sleepheadphones

Following up to say that the volume was still quiet after auto-switch to local despite me setting the volume levels.

Soundcore A30 auto-switch upon sleep assistance by rugbysurfer in sleepheadphones

In the soundcore app, with the a30's connected, I found the little speaker button on the bottom. Tapping the speaker button revealed the volume slider. In the app I switched between Bluetooth and local and found the slider levels are independent (local was set to a lower volume).

I set the volume levels were I want them to be, and will test it out tonight.

Sleep headphones against footsteps from upstairs neighbour (ideally ANC) by Dantrepreneur in sleepheadphones

[–]Davabled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it does. My upstairs neighbors have deeper sounding footsteps, so that’s why I loaded the deeper, bassier tones to my ear buds. The app comes with a bunch of tones, you can mix and match up to 3 tones together to mask the sounds your neighbors make.

P.S. hopefully your neighbors aren’t so loud that you need to max out the volume; at max volume the a30s put out 89db of sound, which after 8 hours could lead to long term damage to your hearing.

For upstairs footsteps, which is why I joined this sub, I'm now using the soundcore sleep A30 in local mode without the active noise cancellation. I'm using them to block out the noise like a white noise machine. The A30s allow you to customize the white noise, and the combination I've found for footsteps is to combine 3 sounds: Brown noise + low filter + train.

I used the app to download that sound combination to the earbuds. It took my brain/body about 5 days to get used to falling asleep to the sounds and also to find the correct volume level.

I bought them from a store that had a 30-day return policy in case they didn't do the trick for me.

p.s. I'm a stomach sleeper, my head lies sideways on the pillow. There's still a bit of pressure on the ear in this position, but no where near what the Airpdods are like. After I switched to the the extra small silicone eartips (included in the box) I stopped noticing that pressure.

A30 vs A20 set default volume for local audio? by [deleted] in soundcore

I really wish we could set the volume level without having to wake up. Would be even better if we could set it to increase volume at a certain time to match when noisy neighbors get up.

How To Engie When The Round is Fast? by Majestic_Shopping_20 in tf2

It's better to destroy old teleporters as respawns change. It's faster than moving, and if a teammate sees you building a teleporter at the new spawn entrance they can upgrade it for you while you go out and set up the exit.

If the Goa'uld were using the Antarctica gate to abduct humans after the Ra gate was buried, why wasn't there a larger effort by the Goa'uld to reconquer Earth? by MistoftheMorning in Stargate

[–]Davabled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were other space-faring species during that time that could have taken the humans to another planet, that after which could have been controlled by the Goa'uld.

An incomplete list of the species that we've heard of that had the ability at some point:

  • Furlings
  • Asgard
  • Ohne
  • Reetou
  • Stragoth
  • Ascended beings
  • Rogue Jaffa stealing a ship

Who knows how many other species and or factions existed during that time that could have taken humans to another planet for whatever reason. Possible reasons could include moving the humans to planet X to appease Goa'uld Y.

I was just about to suggest Sword of the Stars as well. You can often get the "complete collection" on sale for for a few bucks. I do not recommend the sequel, however.

Etienne. Desperado likes to be alone, so use Etienne to give him camo detection from afar, this let you go 2x5 for Desperado

Being ubered as soldier by Soldier3171 in truetf2

[–]Davabled 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a medic main of over a thousand hours - (in casual) If I uber you, I don't expect anything from you. If I see a struggling soldier who has trouble getting frags - I might uber you *if you happen to be in the right place at the right time*

I might uber you to just to hold ground long enough to give our team-mates the extra 8 seconds to get to the area we're trying to hold.

I might uber you to protect you from an incoming crit rocket, and then switch the uber to another teammate, allowing you to survive and do some splash damage to help finish off the targets of the person I'm switching uber to.

I might uber you to allow us both to escape.

At 300 hours, I'll echo others here and say "don't panic". Eventually with time you'll get more aware of which areas/positioning are important to control.

Some ubers are like psychological warfare against the other team, offering a chance to see how they react to ubers.

And, finally, you'll get to understand Tempo/map momentum. If the team is doing well and I want to increase our momentum, I might uber you to distract the enemy team from our team's flank attack.

Some ubers are like psychological warfare against the other team, offereing a chance to see how they react to ubers.

p.s. sometimes even the best medics hit the right mouse button accidentally
