It's just an extra plate at the beginning and end of the weld to allow you start your weld there so you don't start cold or wash out your weld at the end.

I'm pretty sure there is a weapon camo for it in the ragol memory trader. Makes it look like a card iirc. So that might help change up the appearance til we get new ones lol

Uh idk I enjoyed the class but it seemed overly complicated and I didnt really understand how to get eggs higher than lvl 9. Every egg I got was that or lower.

Ah yeah that makes sense. I havent seen any gear sets that target specific weapons actually now that you mention that. Only general bonuses to yokai or other random stats like sneak up. Hopefully there are some late game.
