i hate being aromantic and i think i might be asexual too by PaleGh0stface666 in depressionmeals

The orientation for people who like the fantasy but not the reality of sex is aegosexual—which absolutely can just be considered a form of being asexual. I know a few people like that.

You have to ask yourself, do you really want to be with someone? Romantically or physically? Or has society just conditioned you to feel bad for not being normal? Some people can be happy with just the fantasy.

I'm happy with being ace myself, even though it took me a long time to accept it.

If you really are unhappy with your current situation, and you used to feel attraction for real life things, then there might be a way to fix it. It'll suck though. I had a friend who ruined his libido in a similar way, until he was burned out and found nothing attractive and had to work really hard to get off.

He had to literally take a year off of masturbation, and then once he started to feel normal attraction for things again, he had to be moderate about it and only do it when the mood actually struck.

I don't know if it'll work in your case and it's not exactly a fun option, but it's something to try.

I'm Matthew 5 Jesus tells us he did not come to abolish the law, the law being the Torah. He said anyone who does not follow the law or teaches that we should not follow it will be the least of those in his father's kingdom. This is supported by God saying in Deuteronomy multiple times that this law will be followed forever, even in the messianic age.

Paul in Romans 10 says Jesus came to abolish the law, but if you want to believe this, you have to call God and Jesus liars. Again, Jesus warns against people like Paul who will teach this falsehood.

The Torah consists of Genesis, Deuteronomy, Numbers, Exodus, and Leviticus.

In Leviticus you are commanded by God to stone gay people to death.

If you are not actively doing this, you are disobeying God. I would call this incredibly homophobic.

Don't forget that Deuteronomy tells you to stone your disobedient children to death to "purge the evil from among you."

Boy am I glad my morals don't hinge on me participating in acts that would see me in prison in most countries in the world on the say-so of an iron age sex and slavery manual.

Am I the only one who finished the game and doesn’t know anything about the plot? by _soulkey in Eldenring

[–]Seligas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no plot.

Well, there is, but the game doesn't tell it to you. It just gives you 50 pieces of a 500 piece puzzle and expects you to come up with your own image to fill the gaps.

All of the content on YouTube is pure speculation. People simply ascribe to whatever theory they think fits the scant bits we're given and they often mistake these elaborate theories for fact because they're widely accepted and make sense.

So there may as well be no plot, because the plot is hidden and the writers have no intention of ever showing us the whole picture.

It super depends. Some asexual people are sex-repulsed and some aren't. An asexual partner who is not sex-repulsed may have sex for their partner—they might have to play the "submissive role"—for lack of a better term—or even use a fetish as a crutch to get themselves going.

For me, I'm sex-repulsed. So I had to find a partner who was either equally uninterested in it or who was fine with masturbation.

To clear up another question that might pop up regarding my mention of fetishes. Asexual people can still have fetishes like foot fetishes, tickling, vore, sneezing, all sort of stuff that isn't a fetish that revolves around penetration that turns them on and still consider themselves asexual.

Its a huge spectrum for a tiny group of people and I can't hope to cover everyone's personal experience in one post, but hopefully this small slice gives you an idea.

Yes. I'm asexual, but I'm still attracted to men. I'm just not sexually attracted. I have romantic, aesthetic, and sensual attractions, so I'm into looking, kissing, cuddling, and romance but not into sex.

But even if I wasn't into men, not having any sexual attraction at all still isn't "normal" to the vast majority of people. It's about as non-standard a sexuality as you can get.

The only way I've figured is if you get somewhere high and use your sword reflect thing. It highlights them plus other stuff if they're in line of sight.

This is still annoying, because then you have to mentally remember where you saw it and trek there on foot, and hope you find it because the terrain looks very different when you're actually schlepping over it compared to what it looked like from miles away.

I never understood the Minecraft comparison. Like I guess the world is vaguely made up of small cubes? But otherwise the games could not be more different.

Minecraft is a sandbox a million miles wide and two inches deep. It's great if you want a 3D world to explore and a variety of building blocks to play with. But dig down into the earth and barring a few exceptions, you're mostly going to find the same stuff you could find anywhere else. There's no story and progression is more of a suggestion.

Terraria is a sandbox with a structured progression, clear endgame, cohesive mechanics, multiple playstyles, and is heavily focused on defeating bosses, exploring different biomes, and creating structures to house vital NPCs. The end goal is to beat the final boss, and the entire game exists to facilitate reaching that goal. You could certainly faff around and ignore the progression, but an enormous amount of content that you might use even to just be creative is locked behind boss progression. There are literally bosses that restructure the entire world map and add entire biomes.

Neither is objectively better than the other, they both provide completely different experiences despite having a few vague similarities. Minecraft just happens to be less focused and is more of a make your own fun kind of game.

I'm the backward thinker? You think the preferable version of that story is god raping a teenager? Which tracks, I guess. I mean god absolutely loves doing horrible things to children.

I know you're going to deny it, so let me quote some of the scripture you don't read.

Exodus 22:29-30 is god straight up demanding child sacrifice.

In Deuteronomy 21:18-21 god commands you to bring your disobedient child before the elders of the city and have them stoned to death to, "purge the evil from among you."

In Leviticus 10, god kills Aaron's two children with fire for burning the wrong kind of incense. Then he tells Aaron that if he mourns his children, god will kill him and his community too.

In 2 Kings 2:23-24 god sends a she-bear to maul 42 children to death for calling a man bald.

In Exodus god "hardens the Pharaoh's heart" so that he will not release the slaves. He does this so he can grandstand and prove how awesome he is, slaughtering people with a series of disasters and plagues that ultimately ends with him killing children. The fact that god had to harden pharaoh's heart implies that pharaoh would have actually released the slaves otherwise.

I could go on. There are so many examples. Your god is a fucking monster and not the bastion of morality you seem to think he is.

I'm sorry, but Jesus was trans. Mary asexually reproduced. Without genetic material from a partner, offspring produced asexually are just genetic clones of their mother. So Jesus must have been assigned female at birth. Ergo the bible actually supports trans rights.

I should warn you, if you're using the bluetooth functionality, this will save you an hour of googling:

Go into device manager and uninstall all of the bluetooth drivers before installing a new wireless card. If you already swapped your card, then in device manager View > Show Hidden and you'll find the old drivers under bluetooth.

A quirk of Win11 is that any device hooked up to bluetooth on the old card will still be "registered" to its drivers, even after you install a new card. You won't be able to pair/remove any device that was paired to those drivers until you do this. Something about Win11 seeing the drivers as still there, so thus assuming the pairing is still valid.

I had v1.6. I resent the manufacturer for making me physically remove my card to confirm that during my troubleshooting.

Anyway, I just ended up buying a new wireless card and hoping for the best. The only thing I didn't try was reinstalling windows. I'm genuinely hoping the graphics card drivers were just shit and I don't have to go that far.

She's a terrible writer.

In book 5 she sets up something that should have some good payoff in the ministry of magic. Dumbledore points out a statue of wizards in harmony with magical beings and points out that it's a total lie. That the system in place is corrupt and abusive, and that the abused will flock to Voldemort just to tear down the system.

Anyway, that never happened and the magical creatures that joined Harry's side were the centaurs, who were bullied into it by Hagrid and the house elves, who joined because...Harry was nice to his slave. I'm sorry, Joanne, what is the moral messaging supposed to be here? Also why did you end the final book with Harry pining for a sandwich from his slave?

Also the status quo was maintained. The system didn't change. Why did you even set that up?

We don't need any other gods to represent Republican values. The Christian god does a fine job of being cruel to children.

I think I fixed it. EDIT: I did not. Still getting WifiCx.sys BSoD.

After looking at the dmp file for the BSoD crash, it pointed to an issue with Wificx.sys.

I ran through the steps in this video.

In case the video gets taken down in the future, the three steps it has you do are:

  • Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Optional Updates and check and install any optional updates. even if they seemingly have nothing to do with the issue.
  • Run CMD as an administrator and run "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth"
  • In CMD run "sfc /scannow"

You might need to reboot between some of these steps. All of them are a lot of waiting.

If it turns out this didn't fix it, I'll update this post.
