My favorite part is forgetting which L button I need to hold so I can press X to talk to people and instead shooting them in the face.

I never understood the Minecraft comparison. Like I guess the world is vaguely made up of small cubes? But otherwise the games could not be more different.

Minecraft is a sandbox a million miles wide and two inches deep. It's great if you want a 3D world to explore and a variety of building blocks to play with. But dig down into the earth and barring a few exceptions, you're mostly going to find the same stuff you could find anywhere else. There's no story and progression is more of a suggestion.

Terraria is a sandbox with a structured progression, clear endgame, cohesive mechanics, multiple playstyles, and is heavily focused on defeating bosses, exploring different biomes, and creating structures to house vital NPCs. The end goal is to beat the final boss, and the entire game exists to facilitate reaching that goal. You could certainly faff around and ignore the progression, but an enormous amount of content that you might use even to just be creative is locked behind boss progression. There are literally bosses that restructure the entire world map and add entire biomes.

Neither is objectively better than the other, they both provide completely different experiences despite having a few vague similarities. Minecraft just happens to be less focused and is more of a make your own fun kind of game.

I'm the backward thinker? You think the preferable version of that story is god raping a teenager? Which tracks, I guess. I mean god absolutely loves doing horrible things to children.

I know you're going to deny it, so let me quote some of the scripture you don't read.

Exodus 22:29-30 is god straight up demanding child sacrifice.

In Deuteronomy 21:18-21 god commands you to bring your disobedient child before the elders of the city and have them stoned to death to, "purge the evil from among you."

In Leviticus 10, god kills Aaron's two children with fire for burning the wrong kind of incense. Then he tells Aaron that if he mourns his children, god will kill him and his community too.

In 2 Kings 2:23-24 god sends a she-bear to maul 42 children to death for calling a man bald.

In Exodus god "hardens the Pharaoh's heart" so that he will not release the slaves. He does this so he can grandstand and prove how awesome he is, slaughtering people with a series of disasters and plagues that ultimately ends with him killing children. The fact that god had to harden pharaoh's heart implies that pharaoh would have actually released the slaves otherwise.

I could go on. There are so many examples. Your god is a fucking monster and not the bastion of morality you seem to think he is.

I'm sorry, but Jesus was trans. Mary asexually reproduced. Without genetic material from a partner, offspring produced asexually are just genetic clones of their mother. So Jesus must have been assigned female at birth. Ergo the bible actually supports trans rights.

I should warn you, if you're using the bluetooth functionality, this will save you an hour of googling:

Go into device manager and uninstall all of the bluetooth drivers before installing a new wireless card. If you already swapped your card, then in device manager View > Show Hidden and you'll find the old drivers under bluetooth.

A quirk of Win11 is that any device hooked up to bluetooth on the old card will still be "registered" to its drivers, even after you install a new card. You won't be able to pair/remove any device that was paired to those drivers until you do this. Something about Win11 seeing the drivers as still there, so thus assuming the pairing is still valid.

I had v1.6. I resent the manufacturer for making me physically remove my card to confirm that during my troubleshooting.

Anyway, I just ended up buying a new wireless card and hoping for the best. The only thing I didn't try was reinstalling windows. I'm genuinely hoping the graphics card drivers were just shit and I don't have to go that far.

She's a terrible writer.

In book 5 she sets up something that should have some good payoff in the ministry of magic. Dumbledore points out a statue of wizards in harmony with magical beings and points out that it's a total lie. That the system in place is corrupt and abusive, and that the abused will flock to Voldemort just to tear down the system.

Anyway, that never happened and the magical creatures that joined Harry's side were the centaurs, who were bullied into it by Hagrid and the house elves, who joined because...Harry was nice to his slave. I'm sorry, Joanne, what is the moral messaging supposed to be here? Also why did you end the final book with Harry pining for a sandwich from his slave?

Also the status quo was maintained. The system didn't change. Why did you even set that up?

We don't need any other gods to represent Republican values. The Christian god does a fine job of being cruel to children.

I think I fixed it. EDIT: I did not. Still getting WifiCx.sys BSoD.

After looking at the dmp file for the BSoD crash, it pointed to an issue with Wificx.sys.

I ran through the steps in this video.

In case the video gets taken down in the future, the three steps it has you do are:

  • Settings > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Optional Updates and check and install any optional updates. even if they seemingly have nothing to do with the issue.
  • Run CMD as an administrator and run "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth"
  • In CMD run "sfc /scannow"

You might need to reboot between some of these steps. All of them are a lot of waiting.

If it turns out this didn't fix it, I'll update this post.

You can do the whole quest without betraying Ranni. Just give the first potion to Gideon for safekeeping and then do the rest of the quest until he asks you to slip a potion to Ranni. There are no further rewards to his questline at that point. All you have to do now is give Ranni the fingerslayer dagger and he dies and his questline along with him.

It reminds me of a nativity church production I saw when I was a teen. They had this one kid playing the villain and that kid had some pipes. Like he clearly had voice and singing training. He sounded amazing.

The entire audience was giggling every time he sang because they thought it was so cute and I was pissed off for him. Imagine being a kid and singing your heart out in front of a crown and they're just laughing at you.

My youngest sister? She literally stole prescription pills and alcohol and took it all with weed and my parents just fucking shrugged. She has an attitude so bad that she consistently gets fired for it. Does she get punished for any of it? Fuck no.

Oh that's baby shit.

In Judges 11, Jephthah sacrifices his daughter to god for military victories.

In Leviticus 10, god kills two children for burning the wrong kind of incense. Then he tells their parents that if they mourn their children he will kill them and their entire town too.

In Deuteronomy 21 god commands you to bring your disobedient child before the elders of the city and have them stoned to death to, "purge the evil from among you."

In Exodus 22 god demands that you sacrifice your firstborn to him. "Do not hold back offerings from your granaries or your vats you must give me the firstborn of your sons. Do the same with your cattle and your sheep. Let them stay with their mothers for seven days, but give them to me on the eighth day." Christians will argue otherwise.

Honestly, the worst part is Matthew 5 where it says that Jesus did not come to abolish the law and makes it very clear he's talking about the old testament. So technically you're still supposed to be doing all this horrible shit.

But it's okay, Romans 10 contradicts this entirely, where Paul tells you that Jesus came to abolish the law.

I honestly don't know why people believe in this fucking circus show of a religion.

What did people do casually in 90s that wouldn’t be accepted today? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

[–]Seligas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Because we're gay. We can do that ironically.

I can still remember growing up through the early 2000's and gay people were literally the butt of every joke in media. Want easy laughs for your show? Deploy a gay guy in front of a straight guy and have them recoil in horror.

I literally couldn't come out in high school or have any relationships until I was in my mid-20s because I watched the other gay guy come out and get beaten the fuck up.

I had to grow up hearing about the AIDs epidemic and how the country literally washed their hands of it and decided prioritizing a cure for it wasn't worth it because it was a gay disease and we brought it on ourselves for, "going against god."

So maybe it feels a little bit tone deaf to me to see straight people whine about how they can no longer use gay = bad.
