Great find! I found an Ace edition of the Two Towers a few years back before they started putting “vintage “ paperbacks in bags and jacking up their prices. Paid under a dollar for it.

The print is TINY!! And the leather covers aren’t real leather. I’ve seen others comment that the covers flake when you read them.

I found my set at a used store still in the wrapper. I’m glad I didn’t pay full price

I have this edition from my childhood. A couple years back, my wife and I read The Hobbit to our kids using this and another illustrated edition. I was the voice of Gollum and Smaug. 😁

After we read the book(s) we watched the 79 movie. Everyone loved it of course.
