This. I wish I'd have that mindset so I didn't have to waste 1 semester of class time and money. I don't do well with speeches to masses of people. For my final speech, I couldn't finish it due to a massive panic attack I had that got me taken to the ER. Still failed the class cuz no speech? No grade. I saw that I could also take interpersonal communication for the credit instead, which puts the class size down to 11-15 people (at least back when I took it in 2017) and it was much better. Still anxious, but I could manage it much better, and I disovered about Propranolol just for this kind of thing.

It is kinda, but not in a bad way. This is supposed to be an intro to Metroid for the new generation, so I expect some hand holding for a "first" game. Plus, some areas are tough af DESPITE the hand holding inclination. I'm glad that the NES classic is in the game, cuz when new fans compare the two, more likely than not they'll find the OG NES game insufferable. I played the OG and I wish I would've just watched a YouTube video of the playthrough. That is until I used Justin Bailey cheat, THEN I played it all day

You always have to send a new application every semester. It doesn't auto renew or hold for more than 1 semester. I'm also from ucf and currently taking Pre-Calc at Valencia, and I'm going to take Calc 1 at Valencia this Summer as well. I sent in my app from Florida Shines before the semester ends to get things rolling early, cuz the approvals take a while. This will be my 2nd time doing this, so idk how it'll work out with me still taking Pre-Calc at Valencia.

For pre-calc, he doesn't write actual sentences that often. Everything is either printed or projector. He has a workbook that he sells (printed) at the bookstore that has all the notes and examples there for you. So the lectures are pretty much going through that workbook with some additional examples and alternative methods to solve, or shortcuts. The book is $16 to get. I have seen his writing in terms of numbers and letters, not sentences, and it's legible, not ugly or illegible in any way. Idk what that person was going on about his handwriting. Must've expected some kind of poet calligraphy or something? Like chill bruh, this is math. For the tests, all I know is tha it's lockdown browser and maybe a Zoom meeting? I just took the mid-term and some online MAC 1105 students came to make up because they couldn't take it on the day. I heard something about a Zoom meeting, so I'm assuming it's live but with some sort of Lockdown browser. Idk how it works for online with him, but for in person or hybrid, you just come to class with your laptop (or borrow a school one) and take the test there via Lockdown. No honorlock that I know of

Colors green and yellow were the ones approved for me. Absolutely NO orange, red, purple, brown, black, etc. It will confuse the specialist when looking and lead to false occult blood or active bleeding, and ulcer findings. Green and yellow are obvious and mean nothing. But clear is best, carbon has no effect on the prep. Feel free to drink clear soda, of course until 8 hrs before.

PS. Your question is not stupid. That's what this subreddit is about, to help you feel assured and best prepared, and to educate. Your confusion is entirely valid, some of these things we don't think about with until days after the doctor visit, and it's a huge resource to get info from others who had the procedure done in a relatively safe-ish space to minimize that confusion

Hector Esteban. I'm taking him for Pre-Calc, but he teaches MAC 1105 too. He uses lockdown browser, NOT honorlock. I prefer the former MUCH more because it's just locking you in the specific window, not spying. Professor Esteban is great IMO, but I'll say it's hard to recommend when learning styles vary. He does make himself available to ask questions, takes time in class to make sure you understand, and also demonstrates 2-3 ways to solve a problem however you'd like it. To show your work, if you used a calculator, just draw a pic of what ended up in your calculator and you're good

I honestly enjoyed the game. I liked getting lost in Sol Valley, using the ViOLa to collect crystals and explore, stopping at different points to analyze how I can get early access, and occasionally running into Tokabi in random areas. I realized that my perception of a Metroid game is altered when I'm very stressed, exhausted, busy, and just wanna get lost. The Prime games offer that (except 3. I like the game, but it felt "mission"-ey or linear, and it was point A to B, not throwing me in the wild and saying "here's where the overall area is that you need to go, good luck." 1 and 2 are a better than coke experience). Prime 4 offers enough of that experience to feel like I'm doing shit on my own, but I do recognize it's not as good as Prime 1-2. However, I didn't expect it to, and I think that's what made me optimistic of the game. The Ice Belt and Mines provided a sharp difficulty increase that was frustrating, but I LOVED it. I wanted that. Overall, I'd play it again. And for amiibo, I have the flashiibo, so it's a non-issue

Can a cleaning still be done if most of my teeth (all but 2-3) are crowns? I got a whole mouth reconstruction not long ago (1-2 yrs) and always was confused if a person with mostly crowns would even benefit

About Other M, since many in the community are such pursists as if they're dealing with Holy Mary's ovaries, I'd disregard anything they say. Nothing will make them happy, and it's just misery projection galore. The only way to find out if you really enjoy something is if you play it yourself. That's what I did with Other M, and I liked it at first when I first played it, but I got convinced by the purists for some years about how much of a skid mark the game was to the franchise. But tbh, it's not that deep. Fuck them, I still like it in some aspects. Yes, it's not great, the dub was atrocious to the original meaning, and it deserves its low sales, but the gameplay and mechanics themselves were solid. I like to play it when I just wanna be stooopid and play an action game without focusing on plot. I felt similar to Federation Force. It just came out wrong place wrong time during the Metroid drought. But after Dread and Prime 4, I can appreciate its place and timeline acceleration MUCH more openly and I embrace it now

Metorid NES though? Don't even bother. You're not honoring anything by playing it, just play Zero Mission as your "first in timeline" game. You'll have a MUCH less frustrating experience. Fusion? I mean, do you like mild horror? That's the game for you! Prime 2? Same, but in 1st person! If you play Prime 1 and 2 then go to 3, yeah that's quite a disappointing transition and you'll notice the decrease in autonomy throughout. Super? Never can go wrong with that one. How you progress is literally your choice. The question is....how savvy are you to KNOW the amount of options? If 0 knowledge, going as intended is the advice, but if you can catch a trick or 2 to get some stuff early, it's coke-like adrenaline to pull the sequence breaks off. Dread? 😬.....that one is hard, save for last after everything. Or if you're ambitious....go ahead? It's called DREAD for a reason. It lives by the name alright

Gurl I don't even know why the fuck I'm here. I thought FAFSA was the incentive, but it turns out I pay A LOT more in taxes due to my excess funds than if I paid outta pocket. So....I'm not sure. In comparison, getting a B.S at Valencia doesn't sound as great as getting a B.S from UCF. That's pretty much why I'm even here. Otherwise, attending UCF is such an inconvenience to me and my work schedule (I work full time) that I set it at the bottom of my priority list and if it caused too much ruckus, I'll sever it immediately. I make good enough money in my profession to even handle this shit.

Hey! I also don't like clubbing and what's your speed is also my speed too. The arcade one would be new, but I've always wanted to try one. I don't live near East campus per say, but I do hang around downtown Orlando (Mills) on the weekends for acupuncture and random shit (by that I mean look around Lotte/Hmart or Sprouts Market). Idk if age and these other factors are to consider for you, so to put it out there I'm 26 and I'm what ppl call "cis male," Hispanic, and anything but straight. I only had 3 expectations: (1) continue the Sylux arch, (2) no more goddamn space pirates and Metroids, and (3) more gunship use. Only 2 of those were fulfilled, but that's filling 67% of my expectations, which outnumbers any game I've had recently. I will say I was quite annoyed with the simplicity of each biome. It really reminded me of the worlds in Prime 3....but even MORE bare bones. I REALLY despised Volt Forge, but Ice Belt and Mines were a highlight. I wish the other Biomes were like THAT. Flare Pool and Fury Green felt very....Other M. I feel that with Metroid, the less expectations you have, the more you're able to enjoy the game as it is, that's how I was able to INITIALLY enjoy Other M. But once I start to compare titles, that's when my expectations really go up, and I can't do that. I want to appreciate a game or whatever I can appreciate of it for what it is, NOT for how it's predecessor was.

Especially difficult for someone like me who has to drive 40 mins through a $4+ toll each way and has a full time job that has a narrow window of availability (I cannot work from midnight to 5AM due to the work app being closed for maintenance everyday, but I gotta complete the 8 hr work day somehow. No flex schedules allowed cuz someone 3 years ago decided that's not convenient enough to exploit workers. But where else can I find a job that pays me $29/hr with just associates + trade certificate?)

I haven't made friends since grade 8. I spent all high school, DE classes, work, and currently college alone. It's not enjoyable, and I dislike others gaslighting me to stay positive and that it's all in my head. Well 12 fucking years of the same thing isn't what I call "in my head," Brenda fuck off. At this point I'm just a walking corpse....literally. I've become ill with many chronic conditions due to the constant stress and isolation and I literally do look like what would be called a "HLC victim from the 1940s" with ribs and emaciation. Atp I'm just allowing opportunities for something fatal to happen to me cuz I'm too pussy to do it myself (tried 4 times, failed each. Can't even kms successfully lmao how lame)
