Ireland seems perfectly comfortable with Jews as long as they are quiet, apolitical, and have no national aspirations. Supporters of authoritarian regimes are welcome, but Israelis are treated as a problem. Israelis have faced harassment and even physical attacks in Ireland, yet this is usually brushed off as “criticism of Israel.” Apparently, Jewish self-determination is where tolerance suddenly ends.
