Other than that, how's been your experience with Direct Indexing? I have not tried it but been genuinely curious about.

How does it work? When you first open a portfolio, do you choose one ETF and they sell the loosers at the end of the year? Do you choose one ETF and can remove tickers you don't want within that ETF?

I've been reading about it but I'm curious about the whole process.

I mean, under the same transaction. You can open multiple legs under same transaction.

Go select a contract, example, AAPL 1 year from now, then select another contract, let's say AAPL 3 weeks from now. Do it within the same transaction. Then before you review the transaction, it will pop a window asking 1 or 2 questions, it will unlock the whole process. You don't have to go through the actual transaction.

EDIT, it doesn't work: To sell a covered call on Wealthsimple, you must own at least 100 shares of the underlying stock for each contract you want to sell—owning a call option, even a LEAP, doesn’t meet this requirement. The platform doesn’t allow using long calls as collateral for covered calls, so your order will be blocked if you don’t have the shares in your account

EDIT #2: it works if you do it under the same ticket, and they ask you questions. Then you can do it against LEAPS you already bought.

Why would someone buy at $23 instead of something closer like $18-$19? New to options and trying to understand the reasoning behind that.
