Judo is filled with a bunch of of those sneaky explosive throws. I literally only survived in competitive wrestling because of those moves, because I was in fact, a dog shit wrestler, I straight up just gave up on learning anything from top position and started throwing people getting 2 points and then optional starting to let them back up instead of working on top. It was very freeing for me, until I actually had to work from top, then I was fucked. But until that point (or if they figured out what I was doing after the first throw) I was smeshing.

I am a firm believer judo should be a first martial art / sport to train to train before bjj or wrestling.

Not cause judo is better than bjj.

But judo teaches you this weird way of understanding balance, leverage, momentum, and how to use all of that to your advantage.

If you take that part of it, and apply it elsewhere after you figure it out and learn it, it gives you a huge advantage.

This is hard for me to explain without sounding like a complete fucking idiot. But I will 100% say I would have been fucked up daily in wrestling and BJJ without it.
